for each of the major men's sports (football, basketball, baseball) at Nebraska did they exceed your expectations for the season?

For my I would say
2008 in football
2013 in basketball
2001 in baseball

2009 Football: The 2008 defense was brutal and Ganz was gone. I did not expect that team to be within one (extra) second of winning the Big 12 Championship.

2013-14 Basketball: That tournament run came out of nowhere. With the new arena and Miles instant results, I was so optimistic about of BB program.

2014 Baseball: Not alot back and we finished 2nd in the B1G. I kind of thought Earstad and Nebraska might take the B1G by storm.
