In terms of most dominate seasons by a MSU athlete?

Lawrence Roberts in 04? Stratton a couple years back? Palmerio? Jeff Malone?

Going to partially depend on the postseason IMO. But it's on up there...

Good point. To me, seems like he's as dominate as anyone I can remember, but his finger-prints on games is slightly smaller than Stratton, Lawrence, Malone, etc..

Being a relief pitcher might hurt him in some people's eyes- but when it comes to just getting a few guys out in short bursts, Lindgren has been as dominant so far this year as any pitcher I can remember at State.

When Lindgren does pitch, he has statistically been BY FAY the most dominant pitcher in the SEC this year. He's on pace to set the NCAA record for K/9 innings. That's really telling to me, because that number would have been just as good against the old bats- swing and miss stuff is still swing and miss stuff, no matter what the hitter's bat is made of.

I wouldn't even rank lindgren's season above girodo's last year. The reason I wouldn't is bc of how dominate girodo was in the postseason. If lindgren keeps dominating while leading us deep in the postseason, then it's one of the great seasons ever by an msu athlete.

Msstate7, your really need to look at the numbers. It's not even close. I love both pitchers and want them both on my staff but the numbers speak for themselves.

The stats are great. Great baseball seasons have to include great postseason play though IMO.
