I dont see any threads started by Saul today. Strange...

I wonder how many there'd be had we lost.

Personally I hope mark succeeds he knows the fanbase and is very likeable. We more or less gave a blank check to the Baylor coach and the nutty uconn coach both refused . The Florida coach maybe but I doubt he leaves Florida. Billy Donovan is not walking through the doors and the Michigan coach left and went to the pros . Bruce pearl wants to be a senator . We are no t hiring the Alabama coach with the thugs he employs . I do agree if mark does not have a huge impact he needs to go this year. Go cats

He's probably depressed today. Let him sleep it off
What would there be to be depressed about? We beat Purdue last year when they were preseason number 1 and we see how that turned out. Beating a team ranked 19 this year without two of their main players is certainly nothing to brag about. We will know more about this team as the season unfolds but we really don’t have a tough non conference schedule. Before conference play we have KU, UNC, Louisville, and Virginia, and Indiana in our first 14 games. At worse they should be 11-3 if they are any good at all. If they are worse than 11-3 then conference play is not going to be fun.

Omg this is so cringe. It’s an exhibition. We beat Purdue last season how did that go. Mark is on borrowed time it doesn’t matter what happens in some pre season game. How long have some of you been doing this? Can’t recruit, cant coach Kentucky. It’s pretty simple.
I get a vibe you're hoping Kentucky loses big this year . I would guarantee it if we had lost that exhibition game last night it would have matter with you Omg I guess that's what we have in store this season with you get rid of mark pope flame throwers . It's pretty obvious

He’d have for sure been posting hyperbolic posts about the state of the program if we lost the exhibition. I don’t care either way on the Pope stuff but some of the people just think they are superior in every way and don’t even bother considering that every single post is all about dividing the fanbase and regarding others as stupid simply for not agreeing about the coach. No one is better than anyone else here, we are all fans of the same team. I don’t see a reason for every post to be: “I’ve been trying to tell you losers that Pope is awful but you didn’t listen to me. And you didn’t listen to me because you’re not as smart or plugged in as I am. I have more money than you, I dress better, have more access than you, blah blah blah.” Why is any of that necessary? We are all watching the same team and all want the same result….except for the people who cheer for losses to get a coaching change…those people ARE NOT FANS!

As for Saul, I think he’s a true blue fan. I disagree with him heavily very often. And his haste to be, at times, unfair to the coach has certainly been criticized by me in the past. But I never have to question whether or not he’s cheering FOR KENTUCKY every single game. That’s what should matter most. I’ve never seen him one time hope for a loss like some of the others on here. He just wants to win at all costs and frankly I want to win at all costs as well.

And hes not the type to run and hide because we won an exhibition game. So idk where he is or if hes busy or whatever but he isnt not posting because we won an exhibition game.

Even 11-3 before conference is not great. Lose more than 5 games in the SEC and you’re pretty much guaranteed to lose 10 games unless you manage to win the SEC tournament.

I’m taking a neutral approach with the exhibition games except in the game threads themselves (where I will complain or praise whenever they do something good or bad). So far we look OK. Not good, not bad. OK. But I don’t think OK is good enough for this SEC, not until I see what the rest of the conference looks like, anyway.

I don’t disagree as that would be going 2-3 against the teams that matter and that is assuming we hold serve on the other 9 games. There is at least one in witchita state that could give us fits in the other 9 and of course the proverbial game or two out of nowhere.

in conference play we will do no better than 11-7, but most likely 10-8 or 9-9. That’s pies history in conference and I wouldn’t expect to improve upon that this year. Definitely think we have double digit losses going into the SEC tourney.

Yeah I know he’s on the edge of his chair during every play Basketball or Football. Probably every other sport to like most of us. We’re all a little different but love for the Cats is always there.

We need Mark to be successful. Not seeing a sure replacement like Cal was at the time and frankly should have been a couple years prior.

I don’t get the accusation of Oats recruiting thugs. Specifically I remember when Cal was known at Memphis for picking up less-than-savory players. When he came to Kentucky, that was never a problem.

The solution to all of this is simple: WIN! If we win, the boobirds either go away or change their song. If we win, this board becomes far more tolerable. It really is that simple.
