Would take as depth along with their coach Mitchell.

Him and the 7'4 kid and were pretty damn deep with our new additions.

Stetson was one of the worst defensive teams in the country last year
#333 on Kenpom
Comparison - Loyola Maryland was 220 Cam's last year there

I’m sorry he may have the best 3 point percentage in the country, but the best shooter in the country isn’t averaging 8.6 points a game.
haha, immediate first thought when reading that

Might as well call 71 year old Tom the podiatrist the best shooter

Tom Amberry (November 13, 1922 – March 18, 2017[1]) was an American podiatrist who is best known for holding the Guinness world record for most consecutive free throws made, having made 2,750 of them in a row in a span of 12 hours over the course of November 15, 1993 at the age of 71. Amberry held the record for two and a half years before it was surpassed in April 1996 by Ted St. Martin.[2][3] After setting his record, he worked with several teams, including the Chicago Bulls to help the players with their free throw shooting.[4]

After graduating college he decided to forgo a two-year contract to play with the then-Minneapolis Lakers, choosing to attend podiatry school instead.[5] His medical office was located on Atlantic Avenue in Long Beach, California.

A lot of hate for a 6'7 guy who shoots 47% from 3 on volume

It's getting late, and we have a spot or two to fill still minimum. Not everyone is a 5 star stud. People are getting spoiled

He would be a decent depth piece if top options fall through. Having an elite 3 point shooter with size at the end of your bench is never a bad thing

This player looks like a very good compliment and insurance policy against Mag and Hyatt (and Mulcahy, who can play the wing, but shouldn't be asked to play the 4).

Paired with Fernandes, Griffiths and Spencer, this is a player who I think is a little more than a 8th or 9th player on the bench. Looks like a player capturing 18 to 20 minutes a game, with that type of shooting percentages from 3.

Between this player and the Campbell PF, Jay Pal, we look like we are in play for a 1 year rental kid, in place of Ndongo, and can reload with another scholarship kid in the 2024 class, with Mag back another year.

Like this kid. Also believe he would get significant minutes.

When I watched Cam's highlights, just about a year ago, I thought he was very skilled, but not enough athleticism or speed to compete in the Big Ten. I was wrong about Cam. Very happily so.

I have similar thoughts about Panzo. The A-Sun is better than the Patriot League.
The staff certainly knows better than I do, if they think this kid can play B1G, I trust them.
His lack of other stats besides scoring are concerning.
Cam averaged more rebounds/game (slightly) than Panzo and way more assists and steals.
Checking out his shot chart - he hits from corners and wings at a high rate

The guy would be a 8th 9th off bench. I watched him develop his whole career there. He didn’t need to be a go to guy there or at RU. Again you are not getting better out of the portal this late in the game with so many unknowns

The Campbell kid brings less. I watched Stetson Campbell this year. NDSU kid is going to NBA and if not is not coming here. He’s projected a 2nd round pick in some mocs. If Cliff left sure but not coming here otherwise.

Totally disagree with you on this one. We have enough wings (sg/sf) what we lack is height. Unless Chol gained muscle and thus weight our second biggest insider is Mags . This is a recipe for disaster. Wolf is also probably 6’7” no matter what we read. I would be lots more comfortable with a stretch four and a true 5 or a combo4/5. If Wolf made the jump in skills, height and muscle, he may be a serviceable backup at the 5. It should all be based on his off season development. He was abused in a number of games this year as was Dean.

We have a minimum of 2 to potentially 4 ships left if Paul and Cliff leave. 1 has to go to a big before anything else. This would be the last scholarship guy either way.

Rather give Chol some minutes, or had kept Palmquist. Don't see the point of this pickup

Did you see his shooting percentage from 2? Remember that Stetson is a low major. No way he plays twenty minutes a game.

Honestly 1 year rental shooting 47% on 3s or an unproven guy. Palmquist I assume wants minutes. This guy might be happy at 10 a game to move up. We will see as Panzo was at Bonnie’s OV this past weekend

Reminds me of Hyatt, but with a much better 3pt shooting percentage.

With the open ships we have, and only for a one-year gap fill, I don’t see the downside to bringing him on board.

I would bet that a bit of that is due to this guy giving up fast breaks by watching his shot too long instead of rotating back on defense.

Full video of Stetson-Florida State game to give a little better idea of how a player plays than just player highlights. Panzo played 33 minutes and scored 12 points on 4-6 shooting. Naheem McLeod started for FSU, but only played 10 minutes due to an injury incurred during the game. (2 points on 1-5 shooting.) This was the first game of last season for both teams on 11/7/22. Panzo is #1 in black, McLeod #24 in White.

Good point here. Again he only shot 3s and was 4-7. If Mag news is true would make sense why we are in play. Different players especially defensively but Panzo is a better shooter.

You might be giving him credit for a missed shot that he didn't miss.... Pretty sure he was 4-6 in their win over FSU (according to box scores), but he did only shoot 3's.
