Why Arky? We're at home and the match ups would seem favorable in that they are predominantly a running team.

Anything not Bama or ole miss. A loss to one of those will be understandable to the committee.

@bama. I already have this chalked up as a loss.
@old miss is #2, although I really believe we are a better team, it will be a hostile environment.

Mostly Ole Miss. They will be pumped if they have a chance to win the West or keep us from winning it. Bama 2nd, followed by UK. I'd say Ark the least since we're home & should be able to score on them & slow them down some (if we lose to UTM or Vandy, I may never watch another game). I think Bama has more talent that Ole Miss but Sims ain't looking too hot lately.

None of them. Honestly, we should win out. Auburn was the best team on our schedule.

Agree with this.

Honestly Bama is a distant 2nd to OM, in that right now I feel like we're a good bit more likely to beat Bama than we are OM, just based on how everyone is playing at the moment.

Would not shock me to win both games, or lose both, though.

Why is that naive? I realize Bama and Ole Miss are away, But we are killing teams. Whoever beats us is going to have to play pretty flawless football. We are getting breaks like I have never seen on top of being a dominant football team. I think we can win out.

That being said. To answer the original question.
Ole Miss
Bama
Ark
UK

I assume that you have not followed college football very long. The major disagreement on the last post was the fact that because we beat the toughest opponent, then everything else will fall into place.

1. There's two halves to a season. Some teams start hot and fade. Other teams need half a season to mature.
2. Do not under-estimate road games in the SEC (or NFL for that matter). The lack of respect for playing this year in Tuscaloosa and Oxford is mind-boggling.
3. #1 puts a huge target on your back (everybody wants to rush the field**).
4. Count up how many teams in the last 5 years had a clear path to the BCSCG and stumbled.
Oregon every year

Houston 2011(?)

Exactly. We as fans have little to nothing to do with it, but we need the team to focus on the task at hand, and that's the next opponent. Being better than your opponent doesn't grant you a win. Just ask Alabama about that. They've had the better team in each of their last three losses.

Yes, in the past. We're at home and I don't feel like we should have an issue being up with our 12th man in full force. I'm definitely more worried about UK.

All of them.

1. UK - we are to them like what LSU is to us, without the streak. Believe me... They want to beat us. We are a better team, but it's on the road.

2. Arky - thankfully it's at home, but this team is primed to spoil someone's season. I think they go 1-1 against us an OM. We have the better team, but DO NOT sleep on arky.

3. Bama - Tuscaloosa. Their defense has not dropped off much from last year. I do not think we can hang 42+ points on this defense. Our defense and special teams will have to win this one, but in all mullens years here, this is the most beatable bama team he's faced.

4. OM - we are the more complete team. We are the better team. We are gonna have to battle the freezus hype this team plays with the first half at their place. If we can get out of the half no worse than down 7, I'll feel like we have a good chance to win. We won't be able to hang 42+ on them, but if we can hit the 28-35 range (with no turnovers or special teams 17ups), I feel like they won't be able to keep up. It must be noted, we've only won twice in VH in te last 15 years. It's a tough place to win (despite not really being that loud).

Kentucky hasn't played anybody. They beat a bad USC team at home and hung with a bad Florida team on the road that just lost to a decent LSU team at home. The rest of the teams they have played offense's ranks in the 90's. They beat Lsu this weekend, then I'll worry about them, until then, they are still Kentucky that have beaten a bunch of bad teams.

Arkansas on the other hand just lost by 1 to Alabama and should have beat A&M, and also went on the road and beat a decent Texas Tech team. After Arkansas beats UGA this weekend, you will see why Arkansas is the bigger threat.

I think Kentucky's going to get exposed on Saturday. Arkansas is much better than Kentucky. But that Texas Tech team they beat isn't a decent team. They suck bad. 2-9 in their last 11 games against I-A teams.

They really are. But we are a very bad matchup for them. I just can't see them lining up and running up the middle on us like they did against A&M.

^^^^ Bingo^^^^ you know what you're gonna get when facing Arkansas. Plus we match well with their strengths. You'll see this weekend. UK has some new very talented speed guys on their team that could give us problems, especially at their place. Talented much improved defensive unit as well with Stamps leading that secondary.

No, they haven't. Bama simply isn't as good as they used to be.

They aren't as good as they used to be, but they still probably have more talent than Ole Miss and as much as MSU. The two big advantages we have is that (1) having the better qb means alot and (2) Kiffen has destroyed their offensive identify. Bama should be a different team by the time we play them, or Kiffen's Krimson Korner will only last one year. If the same Bama team that played the second half of UM and all of Arkansas shows up against us, we should be pretty safe.

I'm most worried about Bama. Sure right now they don't look great but I could definitely see their young team improving as the season goes on. Scared mostly because it's an away game though.

Same here. That's our toughest game left. Then OM, UK, Upigg

You all act like Bama has all of the sudden lost it. They were up a touchdown @OM with just a few mins left before the Jones fumble. Or else they're #1, at worst #3 in the country. Yeah they played bad at UPig but those teams match up well with one another. Like the guy above said, I'm sure they'll have it together in a month when we arrive. We play our game we'll be aight.
