RU can't hire Pelini as he is a powder keg ready to explode at any moment and RU can't afford that. He had trouble with the Nebraska media( a somewhat friendly media) so there is no way he can handle the media here. RU will have to vet out any coach as they cannot afford to hire someone who has skeletons in his closet like Sark at USC. Hopefully they won't have someone with an agenda who will hijack the search, like the hiring of Julie.

There's more of a chance that Terry Shea or Doug Graber would return than GS.
Then please enlighten me and tell me where he is going??? Because right now, he's not the lead candidate for any other job opening there is. For any idiot that says "there's no chance" understand, GS may need RU just as much as RU needs GS

You should know by now that high profile teams don't count losses in bowl games unless they are playing for a national title game.

I'm not including PeLLLLini, Rhule, Fuentes, Herrman, Schiano or Bill O'B, because you all need to just resign yourselves to the fact that it isn't going to happen.
Not a true poll if you do t put all the potential candidates up, no matter how unlikely you think they are in comparison to the voters

Please stop with this sacrosanct nonsense. Rutgers needs to hire a guy who knows how to win football games. Basketball, too. Is it better to hire people without real NCAA Div-1 head coaching experience? Rutgers digs a deeper basement for its House of Cards athletic department at every hiring opportunity. Local kids and their family and friends give Rutgers "The Heisman". Winning games and playing prime time games on TV is first and foremost. You'd be surprised how winning makes supporters and local people overlook indiscretions.

I think the guy just has it. He comes from a coaching family which means he's been born and raised for this. His kids play with great discipline and play assignment football. He's consistently won over the last 4 years. Toledo has been a launching pad for several top coaches. When he speaks you feel confident that yea this guy really knows what he's doing. He only makes $435,000 there will be a buyout of somewhere around $300,000. But he's affordable and young.
