All she's got to do is turn around and tell that loser that her son is gonna make more money in the summer than he will in the next 3 years and tell him to sit down and shut up! If I were him, I'd just go play baseball when the season was done and screw that dumpster fire.
Maybe so, but I can sympathize. Even though I don't have any children, I tend to give parents some slack whenever they blow up when they get tired of hearing some fan that doesn't know **** constantly bad mouth their child. I've seen that happen one too many times which is one reason I try not to badmouth any players while I'm in the stands since I don't know who I may be sitting next to.
I don't blame her either. I can imagine she did get tired of them yapping.
It's not a racial thing either. I've personally bashed a kid - white kid - and his father got all bent out of shape. Parents are going to protect their children. That's normal.
Sometimes, we think we're are just heckling or dissing a player or coach and forget that person is more than just a player or coach to somebody else. That's their son, sibling, father and so on. People often say that they can say whatever they want because they bought a ticket. If you feel that way, don't be surprised when somebody else who just may be closer to the team than you are gets offended and defensive.
Sometimes it's best to just apologize and keep your mouth shut.

It can get ridiculous. After I graduated, I had season tix in the old family plan section T. I'm normally a reserved person but I almost decked some loudmouth drunk when, after Derrick Taite threw an INT, he yelled out to get that n*bomb off the field.
