according to Veasey. Does this mean Whitney is going to be pitching some midweek as well, and who starts Friday?

Assuming Moore is still out with tendonitis, I would start Crosswhite on Fri. I think Whitney pitched an inning last night, and I wouldn't be shocked if Routt pitched an inning tonight.

This is a great idea for the rest of this year...matchup one (of three) of our above average pitchers NOT with their number 1 guy. It's almost like conceding the first game in hopes we can take the next 2. It sounds odd, but it probably gives us the best chance to win a series or 2 with this team.

I also seem to remember Bertman a few years ago moving his left handed starter to first base and bringing in a right hander to face a right handed pinch hitter...then bringing the lefty back in. Like you said Todd..I would imagine anything's possible at this point.

Not a bad move since we're not likely to win on Friday against the other team's ace no matter who we pitch and we're not likely to win on Sunday without Whitney or Routt pitching no matter who the other team pitches.
