we have a better shot to beat Alabama than Arkansas.......what are we, like 4-15-1 vs. them in the modern day SEC? 1 win in the last dozen years or so since Madkin's Miracle?

That said, having them sandwiched between at LSU and at Ole Miss is not good.

They have a lot of really good players and the next coach will have a lot of talent to work with. <div>
</div><div>However, it's fairly obvious that Petrino is an excellent college coach and the next guy will likely not be as good, and the whole program could get worse. And even worse with the next coach after that, etc. Arkansas is a good program but not a top program like Bama who can attract top talent whoever is coach, and if one coach doesn't work out (Mike Shula), the next one probably will. </div><div>
</div><div>If Arkansas hits a downturn, we are in a position now to start beating them more often. We took their Sugar Bowl team to double OT just a couple years ago, and really, several of our losses to them under Nutt were close. More snake-bit than dominated.</div>

Facts to back up my argument? Arkansas before Petrino, and Louisville after Petrino. The guy is just a great coach. He takes lesser talent and makes you a contender. He'd win it all at a school with more access to talent. That will be Arkansas achilles heel forever, just like budget and population restraints are ours. Our situations are completely reversed.<div>

Petrino is a major league *******, has character of a death row inmate, and redefines complete bastard.

That said, the sumbitch can coach. REALLY GOOD.

So now we will see what Arkansas is all about, winning or character.
