count with Bradford at the plate I do not understand.......Henderson gets thrown out and then Bradford walks....It costs us the game.........I know what Cohen's thinking was but in that situation it wasn't smart.....

What actually cost us the game was giving up 3 unearned runs in the sixth inning.

As he points out, CT had a 3-1 count and swung at ball 4. If he does what he's supposed to do (taking the pitch if it's out of the zone), he walks and Henderson advances to 2nd anyway.

so the runner isn't dead at second base. That's why it's called a hit and run. Cohen is just throwing Bradford under the bus for his stupid (once again) coaching decision.

aGAIN, the count was 3-1. It's not your standard hit and run, and CT didn't execute well.

As for throwing guys under the bus, give me a coach who expects his players to execute yet admits lack of execution is "on him" (twice in that same interview) any day. He does plenty of dumb things, but I don't think this is one of them.

who we were going to put in after Lindgren. Obviously, we didn't have a good option.

The play that was on is called a "run and hit", which gives the batter the option of taking ball four. Apparently Bradford thought it was hit and run, where he has to protect the runner. The conventional thing to do would have been to leave the bunt on.
