Rumor is he's going to bring Dave Wommack with him from Arkansas St. That guy has made a career out of getting fired every 2-3 years.

He has. From my post in another thread: <div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 17px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">
</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: collapse; font-family: Arial; font-size: 13px; line-height: 17px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 2px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 2px; ">Noticed that Wommack was DC under Nutt for 3 years. Until he was fired. Then he was DB coach for Spurrier for 2 years. Until he was fired. Then he was LB coach as USM for 1 season. Then he was DC for Georgia Tech for 2 years. Until he was fired. Then two years off until he was hired by Freeze before this 2011 season.</span></div>

He won state titles in girls basketball and high school football before being part of a book and a movie. He then parlaying it into an SEC head football coaching position. Why should he be ashamed that he once coached in HS?

How did your career as a junior high and academy assistant football coach around Grenada and Tallahatchie counties work out, Coach34?

and I was never an academy asst around Grenada or Tallahatchie county- I turned down my offer into college coaching after my 4th year- had a wife and a kid on the way, and being a GA just wasnt in the cards for me

you could become a message board here. And don't lie, you worked as an assistant in the Coffeeville/charleston area.

Just think, with your infinite wisdom of sports, if you had only stuck it out, you might have been making over a million dollars a year in the SEC.

bahahahabahahahabahahaha

but it was 1997...wife didnt want to move and couldnt afford the paycut...in retrospect, I would have been better off losing the wife then and taking the position...life is about the choices you make<div>
</div><div>And yes- I did work as an assistant in those areas- but not in private schools as you said...</div>
