Kansas State take it to the #2 team in the country? They don't pull in the blue chips, but you gotta respect how they get the most out of what they have. They play smart, disciplined and don't make stupid penalties to kill their chances. Why is it so damn hard for us?

They have an offensive identity and play a scheme on defense their players are capable of executing. Not to mention their HC knows what the f he is doing, unlike ours...

They are committed to being a run first team and being more physical than their opponent. They assert their will on the defense. It's beautiful.

Generally speaking, teams that want to chuck it around all over the place don't play good defense...not sure why, but seems to be true more often than not. I'd sooooo much rather be a top 5 defense than a top 5 offense.

Thanks for the heads up. Didn't know it was on. Lots of stuff on here. Stars game, NLDS, lots of football. Missed all but a little of the RRR (UT/OU) as I had to work.

Bill Snyder would be crucified at Nebraska. He doesn't win enough games and wouldn't be hand picked by Tom....

Actually he would, he and Tom have been pals for years.

Being pals and having Tom pick you to be coach at Nebraska are two completely different things. And quite frankly Tom looms like he doesn't want a coach here with experience. Every guy he's backed had no experience whatsoever.

Exactly. In fact, I'd say they have a whole team identity of playing hard, are well coached and are very disciplined.

Not my point. My point is a large portion of the fan base are nothing more than Tom zombies and act accordingly. Two coaches have been here that Tom didn't back and both have been crucified pretty much from the start. The two he backed had every excuse in the world given for them for years into their stint.
