1. Who is shining at the WR spot (besides Bumphis obviously). Emphasis on Carr, Chris Smith, Heavens, Robert Johnson. Is Matt Wells playing receiver?

2. Nickoe Whitley.

3. CB rotation. How does Banks look at CB. Is Langston rotating in with Broomfield or playing nickel CB?

4. Competition for the other OLB spot.

5. Competition for the other DE spot. (Ferguson, McCardell, McKenzie, Stigers, et al.) who is looking good?

6. Obviously, the QBs.

7. RB - How is Perkins being used. How does Elliott look? Does there appear to be a pecking order at this time?

I would still rank our concerns as follows:

1. QB - stays here until proven otherwise.
2. Deep threat WR - sorely needed to alleviate pressure on the....
3. Running game - yeah, I know we are always good at RB and so we will be good at RB this year, BUT this is still a concern. Experience, blitz pickup, etc. Remember all those fumbles from the read option last year? Many of them were probably on the QB, but it is still a huge aspect of the game. The play of our RB crew is going to be huge. The other team is also going to have to be at least remotely worried about our tailback to allow Relf to do big things.
4. Offensive line depth. I think we are good WHEN Tobias Smith goes down, as Gabe Jackson looks to be a freak in waiting. If one of our tackles go down, that is another story entirely.
5. OLB - this far down the list because the rest of our defense compensates for our question mark here.
6. DE - see OLB, above.

Strengths, in order:
1. Starting O-Line. With a healthy Smith and Saulsberry coming into his own at Guard, we are really solid across the board here.
2. TE - Green has us in good shape there.
3. D- Line - you may be surprised this isnt 1 or 2, but this unit still has something to prove. I need to see how Cox and Boyd follow up their rookie campaign.
4. LB - nice having two talented seniors.
5. Secondary - It seems like it has been a LONG, LONG time since I could list this as a strength, and it is still a fringe-y strength. 3/4 of the group has performed well against SEC competition. Broomfield needs to follow up his performance. Mitchell and Banks are players. Whitley is the key.
