who is our most disappointing talent?

I'm going with Wilder. In the spring game he caught everything in his zip code. Right now, he can't catch a cold, at least not with a defender anywhere near him. He doesn't fight for the ball. He doesn't act his size. And the track star got caught from behind on Saturday.

He's a track guy playing football, I didn't have high expectations to begin with. I'd say it's Robert Elliot, I expected him to be a big part of the offense.

I think his skill set is there, but I think Mullen is still terrified to put him in with games on the line due to him fumbling the football. I think he gets it straightened out by the end of the year though.

That's a problem with Crooms recruits - most of them were not talented enough to actually be disappointed in how they've performed. It's hard to criticize 2-star recruits for not playing up to par in the SEC. And with Elliott & McRae coming off major injuries I'll give them a pass.

I'd go with any of our 2nd string defensive guys. Have we seen any quality 2nd string guys, especially at LB? Maybe guys like Mike Hunt (has he even played any), Jamie Jones, Bo Walters... who do we have at LB after our starting 3? Offensively, I'll go with Phillip Freeman. Everyone always complains about OL depth and wants us to sign good JUCO guys - well, has this guy played a snap yet?

I've been pretty pleased overall with everyone. I'll go with Brandon McRae. It was just a flesh wound.

As far as Wilder, he is also a RS Fr. who played one or two years of HS football. I think he will improve with time. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the NFL one day just based on his size and speed once he graduates.
