I was there during his era and don’t remember that unless it was Kendrick’s son as a walkon or something like that. My first instinct is he may have been friends with Jonnie West or something and may have misspoke about him being on the FB team.

I'd guess is might be son of Drew Payne. Payne is from Charleston and is an heir to the Dickinson family who, I believe founded the salt/chemical industry in the Kanawha county area waaaaay back. I believe Drew's son played on the 2010 Final Four team.
