At the Andrews/Murphy game last night, overheard a couple of parents talking bout a transfer coming to Murphy from Georgia. Said he was starting school on Monday. Word was that he was a 6'3" 3-star QB. Any truth to that? Anyone know a name? If it is true, he could be a game changer for the conference next year.

I said this in another thread 3 weeks ago, so I'm assuming what you overheard at the basketball game was in regards to the same kid from Georgia.
I don't know about the 3 star stuff, I seriously doubt it. But what little I've seen of him on HUDL he looks like he has good talent an athleticism, just needs to hit the weight room hard, he's really skinny.

9th grade clips were all QB and the 10th grade clips were WR and QB, mostly WR.

We should start a thread on "New Recruits 2019." That way we would be able to keep up with the players that move from school to school. Since it's now legal no reason not to.
Yeah a kid from Flowery Branch Georgia (which is 2 hours from Murphy) was recruited here, lol ok. Murphy doesn't recruit anybody, the program sells itself.

What are you on about? If you're talking about Clapsaddle transferring to Christ School for baseball, yeah nobody complained about that. Murphy is the defending 1A state champions in baseball, they don't need to complain.

Any kid that has transferred to Murphy for football reasons during Coach Gentry's tenure is tied to the success of the program, not because anyone on Murphy's staff recruited them here.
You tell 'em mbdfan! Any kid from that area would be lucky and proud to be part of the Mighty Murphy Midgets! No school this side of Mt. Airy manipulated the system and the rules as good as the Midgets. Dodging the big teams year after year, making sure the ADM numbers were where they needed to be when the split happened and winning titles! That's what Midget football is all about. Making a mockery of the NCHSAA and Titles. Whoooooooo!!!!! Man it feels good to be a Midget. Maybe y'all can work that into your intro music to the tune of "Damn it feels good to be a gangster." I'm plenty mature to answer your question. I am a fan of the Murphy Midgets. My allegiance is to West Montgomery. The football program is no longer in existence. But, we prided ourselves on playing kids from our area, not all over, and playing whomever, wherever. And we beat your Mighty Midgets on the field as well. So we may not have won a State Championship but we competed for 57 years at the 2A level and then the 1AA level. We were never able or wanted to manipulate numbers to stay down where we shouldn't be. I don't see why it matters what school I'm from but you have your information. Please keep me posted on the new recruits for next season. I'm hoping to catch a Midget game!! Go Midgets!!!!

For the millionth, no excuse me trillionth time...no one manipulates numbers. Its illegal and against the rules. If youre gonna talk about illegal activity, then from now on provide documentation to substantiate your claim. That light that "caught your state ring' came from the light that has been shed on the Murphy Midgets, Mt. Airy Bears and all of the programs that have benefited from unfair advantages for decades that were kept quiet across the state due to no social media. Now that there are platforms that allow for instant sharing of information and the loosening of the "rules" on this site along with others have let the proverbial cat out of the bag on all of those programs. Murphy has whipped our *** in football for years and yes in the early to mid 90’s if Murphy hadn’t of been a road block in the playoffs Hayesville could have very well had a championship or 2! But guess what they were and we didn’t! They play where they are put and if you know anything about PowerSchool and how adms are accounted for then you would know it is very hard to manipulate numbers. So here goes the early college talk we send just as many kids as Murphy does, if (and that’s a big if) Hayesville starts winning state championships will it be blamed on the kids that have never stepped foot in Hayesville High? Probably not!! Let’s get one thing straight I am not a Murphy fan nor do I live in Murphy, I am just tired of seeing this BS on here!!!
