Who on here still thinks UK will get 6 Wins this season ?

That would require UK to go 5-4 the rest of the way. No way in hell.

That is why that SMU game was so critical. The purpose of scheduling those games is to get the automatic 3 wins. That way, you only need to win 3 SEC games, or hope UL has a bad season and can beat them as well. When UK lost to SMU, that made bowl eligibility near impossible.

6-6 is still possible but the margin of error is gone with USM loss. They now have to win every toss up game on the schedule as well as those they are favored in. Hopefully Stoops can capture some of the luck that eluded him is seasons 2-3.

It's strange you rant for almost two paragraphs that Stoops is toast and then say "maybe he can turn it around." Are you trying to cover all of your base there? LOL

Just noting that Stoops will probably be the coach next year no matter what (due to the buyout). And since that is probably a fact, there is a possibility that something strange and magical might happen on his watch due to natural changes or even despite him. Not predicting it; not even sure how he can recruit at this point. But just b/c surprises occur every year in college football doesn't make it likely for Stoops. Kind of like someone winning the lottery; it has to happen to someone and Stoops has about the same odds of producing something positive. But it would be pleasantly weird if something good resulted from Mitch being unable to fire him this year.

I'm buying 6 wins ... we might have to score 40 points or more to get there, but only in four games (not including Austin Peay). Three of these four games are at home ... and two of these are against teams that aren't too good.
