I know that the new AD does . What qualifies him to pick the new HC ? Does he know football enough to make this pick?

I believe it was already stated that it'll be Brown, Barchi, and Hobbs, working on the decision together, which makes sense, and listening to Hobbs, thus far, my guess is he's not completely "out of the loop" when it comes to college football.

The fact that Hobbs has the title "Athletic Director" is all the qualification he needs. While I guess he could get overruled by Barchi and/or the BOG, it's ultimately his call.

A combination of Barchi, Brown, Hobbs and maybe Christie. The may conference Sweeney & Norcross in on the call just to piss them off.

Brown will make the choice, Hobbs will sign off after a vetting process.

Why did a guy in a wheel chair with no military experience get to pick George C. Marshall to run World War II?

Why does a guy with degrees from Delaware and Seton Hall get to pick members of the Rutgers Board of Governors?
