Let just say, for ***** and giggles, that Auburn is kicked out of the SEC. Who would we ask to replace them? I know this won't happen...but if it did...

Because like Auburn, who can't decide if they're Tigers, War Eagles, or Plainsmen, DSU can't decide if they're Fighting Okra or Statesmen.

Missouri.

Or we could move Tennessee or Vandy to the West and add a Clemson or FSU to the East.

So that I can watch a Cardinals game on the road trip.

Also, I've been to their campus and Faurot Field aka "The Zou" would be the worst stadium in the SEC. It's a horseshoe, and I'm not sure if there is even an upper deck.

You get a pretty good basketball and football team, they're in a college town that is on the larger size (Columbia), but still within what we have in the SEC (right between Tuscaloosa and Gainesville in size). It also gets the SEC in some good media markets and opens up another state for recruiting. It's also not nearly as far as it would be out to aTm.<div>

to go to 14, and then when Auburn comes back, add one more to go to 16.<div>

They could compete in the SEC, and occasionally they have players like an Aaron Crow, who was a first round pick.

I don't know how much football talent is in that state though. I'm sure that there's some in the larger cities such as St. Louis and Kansas City, and maybe even a little bit in Springfield, Cape Girardeau and Jefferson City, but Missouri is no Florida or heck even a Georgia. In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if Mississippi puts out more football talent than Missouri.

The problem with Missouri is that they identify themselves as Midwestern. They care much more about beating Kansas and Illinois than they do, say Mississippi State. I think it would be kind of like when Arkansas joined the SEC and they still acted like they halfway belonged in the old Southwest Conference.

Would there be 2 divisions of 8 teams, or 4 divisions of 4 teams? Also, how would games rotate? I've never been a fan of super conferences in football. Seems like too much is going on to me.

I'll go with North Carolina. Decent football program, with potential to be a major power and national title contenders in almost every other sport. Would bring the SEC into a huge new population base and they are a nationally "name" school.</p>
