What about bringing Tyrone Nix in as D Line coach. Or who else is out there we could bring in.

I'm torn on this hire...

I'd love a great coach who can recruit... but most of those types already have jobs.

With D-Line being such a bad position last year, I kind of hope we hire a guy who is great at technique. But then again... we need a recruiter too. This is going to be an interesting hire.

The top rated DT on both Kiper and McShay's board is from Utah. Maybe his coach? Don't know if he'd be interested, but that caught my eye.

Not sure if he would come, but I think we should do whatever to get Tracy Rocker

He's got SEC experience, he would be an instant recruiting impact and with things not going well with the Titans he might be willing to leave for the right price. He was getting 300K at Auburn before he left and I think we could do that for him. That's what Wilson was making and I think if we wanted to get Tracy Rocker we would at least have to give him that.

I mentioned another one last night after doing some research. I was interested in the current DL coach for Houston Ricky Logo. He was the DL coach for Osi Umenyiora and DeMarcus Ware at Troy. He was the DL coach at Vandy from 2007-2010. The Houston defense this year was tied for 13th in the nation in sacks. He's got some SEC experience and he's spent his entire coaching career in the south. Just a name to throw out there after doing a little research.

Would like to see us go after a guy who has ties to Fla or

Texas...at the very least someone who has recruited in the southeast. I don't think anyone expected the Brewster hire so I have faith that Mullen will make a great choice. To Mullen's credit, he realized the "ship" was off course and made necessary changes, unlike many of our coaches in the past.

And the old lady said BINGO. That is what could and should be done. Pull a Malzahn hire. Find a Stud DT and then look to see if his coach is worth a ****. If he is... Fuel the jet.

I thought Mullen had ties to Florida like Charley Strong, but guess not. He came in saying he wanted to dominate MS recruiting, which I hope he now knows that he will be unable to do. Too much competition.
