None of them appear to be correct and the overwhelming item you were right on, was the caliber of recruiting would catch up to RU (kinda, but not really). Experienced depth is a concern for every program.

We are referring to getting robbed at gunpoint by the B1G at Ohio State and coughing up a 10 point lead at Minnesota in the last 2 minutes.
If I am standing firm counting on those 2 outliers being the "I was right" point of view, that's as flimsy as anything I've ever seen.
The program needs an upgrade in overall talent, but that's being clearly addressed. Recruiting higher caliber players, still requires coaching, development, buy-in and maintenance on the work-ethic culture this program was built on. It's extremely difficult to see where things aren't trending up for RU basketball since the 2019-20 season across the board. There are many other schools who cannot claim the last 4 years of success like RU has, it's not a 1-year wonder.
An off-year is allowed once in awhile. But I'm very proud and confident that RU is extending its winning ways for the foreseeable future. At the end of the day, what else can you ask for??

I still dont watch our team and walk away impressed with the D like i was in years prior (20-21 was unreal). I know metrics says were a good defensive team but when we need a stop vs a team with a pulse I dont have that much confidence in the team. Really lack athletes in the back court and they get cooked. We were definitely the beneficiary of teams missing wide open 3’s it seemed like alot this season
