At this point, we want as few Big 10 teams to be bowl eligible as possible, and want to see more teams trend toward mediocrity. This will help RU get the best bowl bid possible.
We want:

Indiana over Penn State (dare to dream)
Maryland over Northwestern (although if this goes the other way and the Terps season starts tanking, that would be good too)
MSU over Minnesota
Purdue over Nebraska (this is the most important one at this point)
Ohio State over Wisconsin

Agree with your choices, but if Penn State and Ohio State lose, and we beat both of them. . . . . .

Was going to go the the game in Wisconsin. Some guy named Connor Stalions gave me a free ticket and a free video camera, but my Google wallet says it is invalid. 🤷‍♂️

wrong take, rising tide lifts all boats so you want as many BIG teams bowl eligible.

I think your list is actually in line with the most likely outcomes (except for the IU game .. they'll likely lose to PSU).
MD will likely outlast NW, although it won't be pretty
MSU will finally get their win over a rather unimpressive Minny
Purdue will take Nebraska, who don't appear to have anything figured out just yet
and, although it won't look definitive in the first half ...
OSU will take Wisconsin to the cleaners late in the game.

But, those are just my two cents.

the only way your theory would help RU is if all the others that become eligible are still worse ranked and less valued travel spending wise. So the safer bet would be having less choices for the better of the bowls to pick from in my mind.

Not sure about that, but rooting for teams to lose in hopes it passively floats us to a better bowl seems small-time and lame.

I'll root the usual way this weekend, then root for RU to win a few more and boost its own prospects.

Nebraska has now lost for the season their starting LT, LG, RG, top 4 starting receivers, and their 2 starters at RB. The starting QB from early in year is still out and so is a starting safety. Add that it may snow during game tomorrow but definitely will rain with wind gusts to 25mph. I wouldn’t bet on Nebraska. Hahaha. Throwing the ball tomorrow will be difficult to impossible in the weather that’s coming. I’m thinking a score of 3-2 Purdue.

The real best bet is for us to win the last 4 games. And have a happy New Years Day

Indiana over Penn State - agree...would love PSU to lose out
Maryland over Northwestern (no- Let NWU get to .500. Don't like MAryland at all
MSU over Minnesota - yes, helps us with our our fan perception. lol
Purdue over Nebraska (this is the most important one at this point) - Don't care but I believe we have a chance out of the PS Bowl if Neb doesn't qualify or we finish better
Ohio State over Wisconsin- Nope- F OSU. Let Wisc beat them and ding them up so we have the upset of the year then let NCAA/B1G banish Mich and we beat PSU.........

I believe he is hoping for some teams to win rather than others to lose. From what I understand, this is fairly common. For instance, you probably hope any and every team gets wins vs Rutgers.

Rooting for anyone is obsolete because bowl selection isn’t based on merit. At the end of the season, the conference and the bowls will figure it out, with an eye on maximizing attendance. That’s why I think the Pinstripe bowl is most likely for us, unless we get to at least 8 wins.

Wild night in Madison
Several second half targeting penalties
Bench clear that leads to a few one game suspensions
First really cold night ignites a team wide bug

And a Ohio st 24-7 win

#3 in big trouble headed to Piscataway

Dementia again? You got me confused with someone else.

I even wrote it out for you in the post. Get the nurse to read it aloud and explain.

Because I didn't think he needs an extension?

Ask that nurse if she can mix some logic in with your daily dosage.
your words speak for your attitude about many things. it is not a good look.

more old age jokes please... my nurse loves laughing at your lame attempts to mock

Sure, dude.

Unfortunately your words don't speak about much of anything. Because you have no idea what you're even saying half the time. That's the joke - not age.

You mixed me up with someone else, prolly the actual negative poster to whom I responded. Had to go back two months before the season even started to find a throwaway comment to a typical RU AL thread as "proof" about my negativity on RU.

Even you knew that was a failure but couldn't just admit your mistake. Talk about bad looks.

Didn't find anything positive you said on the way to that one. We get bowl-eligible.. have some outstanding plays.. and you say nothing. You are a troll any way you look at it.

You also only replied to me saying you probably root for Rutgers to lose when teh first thing I said in that post applied directly to what you said in the post to which I replied.

You said: "..rooting for teams to lose in hopes it passively floats us to a better bowl seems small-time and lame."

To which I said "he".. the poster to which you spoke of.. was probably just rooting for other teams to win. Meaning.. your take was just the negative take so you could insult the whole topic.. aka.. go negative... calling anyone who tries to hope for the best outcomes for Rutgers chances is "small-time and lame".

You ignored that part in order to say I am "confused" and to insinuate things about my nurse and her treatments.

My nurse thinks you're the one with the medical condition.. how did she put it... oh yeah.. she read your posts than simply raised her had held her thumb and forefinger about an inch apart to indicate something... you probably know what that is.. I am "confused" and did not understand.. but she said you've probably seen that gesture from girls many times... as well as hearing the words "Don't worry.. it happens to a lot of boys".

(hopefully you will see that going negative is easy.. mockery is easy.. anyone can do it.. at least that's what my nurse says)

Fair to say this didn't work out too well. With games to play against a collapsed MSU and downtrending Maryland, Nebraska is in a good position to pick up a 6th win and steal one of the better bowls.

The starting QB from early in year is still out and so is a starting safety.
You should be glad he's still hurt. Your backup QB is a million times better and has started your march back to relevance in the West. It must be fun to play in the West, a division with no true powerhouse team or teams.
