Nothing, but look down the line, do you see any of the current JV or midget teams in the conference being serious title contenders down the road in a unified 1A class, from purely a talent standpoint? I mean things can certainly change with kids that age and you can never discount the potential for transfers but as it stands I do not.
Exactly and I am not sure Robbinsville will be dynamic enough at the QB position the next couple years to get it done. I don’t see a Collins on their roster.

It can be done but you'd better be stacked everywhere else. If the other Adams kid is as good as some think I might consider moving Cuttler to QB at some point down the road. Cuttler is more of a straight line runner anyway, I think he might actually be even more effective running the ball from the QB position. Another thing that's not really been discussed is I don't think the Robbinsville line for the next two seasons will be as good as the '14-'15 and '19-'20 lines either.

I'm no doubt high on Robbinsville when these 10th graders are juniors and seniors but they have some question marks of their own as far as truly contending for a title. I don't think it's a foregone conclusion they'll be as good as the aforementioned Robbinsville teams.

Extremely hard to win a state title with just a game manager at the QB position even with a back like Adams.

Don’t really know about line play. The other adams kid will be a great player too. I think qb play will be a little better next year barring injury. If it’s who I think will end up being qb then he definitely has more size than what we have now. About 6’3. Getting him beefed up will be one of the biggest challenges.

You’re right about that. The bad thing is our qb is athletic and physical when he wants to be.I think his decision making is what hinders him the most. Against Swain I felt like he could have tucked and ran the ball a lot and could have been very effective with it. At some point the timer has to go off and you have to take the 5 or 6 the defense gives you.

Exactly..he could have ran for 15 yds on 4 or 5 plays

Robbinsville could been undefeated on JV had Adams not went out. Also our midget group was undefeated. We have a 300 lb freshman lineman that is playing most snaps now.
Time will tell

I'm just going to keep it real BK that group isn't a serious title contender down the road even with Cooper Adams. The last two seasons is the weakest JV talent I've EVER seen in the SMC. Unless the entire 1A class is down our league will struggle with the top teams in other areas of the state once Cuttler's crew is graduated, at least for a little while.

Seems Cooper is a natural RB, Cuttler is a great athlete playing RB, there's a difference.
I agree with your idea on cutler to QB. He going to get his 150-200 yards from any position in the backfield. Williams holds down fullback and takes care of the lead blocking and softens up the defense. Cooper and the Hill boy will give you more production at the tailback then you would get from a game manager at QB. To me this is more inline with the 19 trio of Collins, Anderson, and Hooper.

Be careful. They will be better next year than this year. That undefeated JV class from a few years ago will be seniors next season….unless I’m mistaken. Correct me if I am.
You are correct. I don’t think they lose anyone that really matters. They should be really solid next year for sure.

I just looked up Robbinsville to ER.

Five hours.
That's way past the middle of the state.
By bus could be even farther.

I wish we could've been on ER side.

Actually ER is located almost straight north of middle of North Carolina.
When baby boy went and played First Flight in baseball as a sophomore it was over five hours on bus…
On a Tuesday night!

It's a long ways for sure
That's what kinda sucks about 1a ball, there are hardly any teams in the piedmont. All the teams are either in the mountains, or the coast, and while in theory it sounds like most playoff games would be close by, they aren't. The piedmont has straight roads criss crossing all over, but the coast and the mountains have much less direct routes of travel. Robbinsville can probably be in Charlotte in about the same time as it takes to get to bakersville...

2A is the same. ER went from one end to the other when baby boy was there. First Flight was the worst though.

Thomasville is young as well, several starting sophomores and several sophomores logging time from 8 quarter rule. Only lose 4 significant seniors and a extremely talented junior class - looking for a good 3 year run.

I truly think if ER wasn't recruiting kids from different school and played with what they have in there build they wouldn't be talk about that much. But look who you're talking about ER. These are the school that lost kids too ER. SWR, RHS, Chatham Central HS Bear Creek NC not Chatham Georgia. I can go on and on about the recruiting they do and no one will say anything. What you guys are doing over there you are bound to get caught and the sad part about it if those kids are that good colleges will find them no matter where they go to school. I know for a fact the coach at Chatham Central has kids playing right now in college. I know because when I talk to him it not about the wins and losses. It education Like he said to me everyone want to play D1 but you have to have D1 grades.
You created a profile to say that? Who wants to play for Baxter? Handy is no longer at RHS no one is going there! Chatham Central really! Dude this one of the most idiotic comments I have seen in awhile.

Green team should be really good too
Yeah Heritage will be solid too. I’ll admit, I can certainly get used to seeing the team in purple and the team in green in the 1a every year now since there isn’t a split and heritage went 1a now.
