Who would the sixpack hire as the next basketball coach?

I'm being serious here- forget about whether Stans should or shouldn't be fired, we've been through that ad nauseum. Don't turn this thread into that.

I know very little about basketball in terms of the coaches out there simply because I just don't care all that much about it. So, I want to know who we might go after whenever Stansbury leaves.

since nobody thinks we can get anyone worth a damn, what about the coach from the ladies Delta State teams in thelate 80's. He was ok and you would think Starkville would be better than Cleveland, if he still lives there.</p>

He has taken a short period of time to take a small program to the big time. I think he is an excellent x and o guy and really good recruiter.

On Mullen, Davis Wade expansion, BB practice facility, and other things hurt who we could afford to hire? I say yes. We are dropping a lot of money into football right now. For a while, we were middle tier budget in the SEC in basketball, but the money we are dropping into football rather than basketball has to come from somewhere.

Auburn fans brought his name up last year too. That was even more laughable.

The odds of Drew coming to Starkville are about like those of of me moving to Jackson.

You really can't recruit to VMI at all. That doesn't stop them from regularly leading the NCAA in scoring with their fun up-tempo offense.

I think the odds are more likely that he is outed as a rule breaker than a great coach.

along with Sidney probably coming back, he may continue to survive. But I would love to see him gone. Not sure who we would bring in. I'm just not into basketball enough to throw out any names.

Seriously, Randy Bennett from St Mary's College. He has that elusive Sweet Sixteen and they blew us out with team that resembled Millsaps demographically. Probably is a left Coast guy and is waiting to jump to a PAC 10 School, but he is worth mentioning nonetheless.
