Miles has won a NC or two hasn't he?Fleck and Brohm are really the only two realistic ones.
Briles just isnt happening.
Miles would be a nightmare. He cant win with LSU's talent. Hows he going to do it with our talent, in the same league no less?

not going to list the UN-ATAINABLE
1) Tressel - baggage does not outweigh where we MUST recruit to be successful
2) Tom Coughlin - he still has fire
3) Brian Billik - I am a Ravens Fan
4) Doc By Gawd Holliday - he just wins
5) Willie Fritz - he is a proven winner - even at Tulane
I like your parameters, but not sure I agree that Kiffin is the only one that UK can get that meets those qualifications (and really highly doubt Kiffin would take a job at UK).A home run hire resume would look something like this
-P5 Head coaching experience
-winning record
-bowl game appearances
-record of being top recruiter
-record of productive Offense
-record of players getting to pros
-name recognition
...that list is small, and out of those individuals 1 would realistically at least consider UK because all the others have better, easier jobs, making more money...
Lane Kiffin...and the potential bonus he could bring to the table is Sark as OC, another guy who checks those boxes.
So with one hire UK could bring two guys that check all the home run boxes.
The only other guy who may be a very slim possibility is Chip Kelly if things go south in San Fran. However, he will have his pick of colleges.

what does UK have to do to get him ?
they just extended him thru 2020 at the end of last year. not listed on current hot seat coaches. don't know where you get that from.I don't understand this forums love affair with Leech, the guy is about to get fired at WSU.

No way Id want Kiffin as a HC. Hes yet to win anywhere as a HC, even given immense talent. His skill at Alabama has an OC is even questionable. He probably cost them a title by continuing to throw the ball against OSU.
No way Mitch brings Sark. Not after BCG. No way.
Yet to win anywhere? 7-6 at UT, 28-15 at USC

Moos>Barnhart. I seriously doubt he's fired, even IF he has a bad season. we'll see.0-2 to start the season, lost to Eastern Washington at home. Just looking at their schedule they could easily go 2-10 this season. I see them going 3-9 after they way they started the season. They will beat Idaho (but if they don't look out), after that the only game I see them winning is Colorado and maybe Oregon State. Coaches get extensions all the time and get fired after a really bad season. Just look at all the extensions we have handed out.

I am using the geezer theory - because it did work with Rich Brooks and it may just by gawd work again - what the hell we got to lose at this pointSurely you jest? Coughlin? Billick?
okay why would they be Un-Atainable? My opinion is that all are attainable and your opinion isYou begin the post by saying you won't list unattainable candidates.. And then your first 3 are unattainable. Haha

He actually kept them in the game against Ohio State but feel free to continue to revise history as you wish.
Guess you forgot that Bama jumped out to an early lead, which everyone just knew would mean certain victory thanks to their ground game.
Except lane decided to air it out
If you consider that winning at those two programs, then we're definitely going to have a fundamental difference of opinion. If he struggles to win at those places (especially considering UT is in the same conference and division), with that talent (while landing each on probation, iirc), hows he going to make it happen at UK?
Hes been a train wreck everywhere hes been, with the exception of Bama. That likely has more to do with Bama than Lane. UK can do better than overpaying for a proven failure at HC.
Previous HC experience, stellar recruiter

I'm going to throw my hat in, but first let me say, my option #1 is for Stoops to figure it out so that we won't have to hire anyone else. With that being said, here's my top five:
1) Tressel
2) Rex Ryan
3) Richt
3) Miles
4) Kiffin
