Fairfield picked 8th preseason in the MAAC, just behind Merrimack. For a comparison St Peters was 11th preseason. Surprised the spread is as low as it is, although it seems Fairfield played Penn State fairly tight in their first game.

we had 8 guys with 8 pts or more. 8 had assists. 7 had blocks. 6 had steals.

We shoot it well from the line. not so good from the field, worse from 3. too many unfinished drives and too many driv

we did our best to ignore our size advantage. missed passes. didnt look to pass off the dribble, was like I'm getting mine. not great positioning from the bigs.

i still take offfense at our offense. when i was a kid they told us if you do what we do for the first 20 seconds of a possesion, you go blind

Contrary to what you think we did not have much of a size advantage. They have a decent size front court. 6'10", 6"8" or 6"7" depending on who was in. They matched us well in the small forward and guard spots to. Sparks was terrific. We should have nabbed that 6"7" freshman kid Declan from Bergen Catholic and or Benjamen. Showed he could be a good one! Maybe get him with NIL next year or Benjamen. Someone will.

Their front court bigs were 2 freshman and a sophomore. They had decent height.
