Look I know there aren't many if ANY Colts fans on the board but I gotta ask your opinions. My (trying to be objective here) opinion is that there are a few variables to be weighed on. #1 Peyton @ UT had LOADS of NFL talent. He has Peerless Price, Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry, Chad Clifton just to name a few. Those players took alot of pressure off if him. Now I understand that he played in the SEC too, but at the same time Luck plays in the PAC-whatever there is almost NO NFL talent on the roster because of the type of school they are. Stats wise they are similar, I think Luck doesn't get AS "excited" in the "moment" because of his personality either. It's just something i'd like to here feedback on as I am a Colt fan. Thanks.

Luck didn't face the defenses in college that Peyton did. Luck and RG3 would be better prepared for the NFL if they had played in the SEC. Their numbers would not be as impressive, but they would be better prepared. The defenses at LSU and Alabama are incredible. Then you have MSU, South Carolina, and others that have solid defenses with good athletes. The lack of great defenses in other conferences have helped some of these quarterbacks put up Mickey Mouse numbers. Stanford and Oklahoma State only thought they wanted a piece of Alabama's defense.

who was Luck's #1 target this year? A 2 star TE who might not get drafted? It should be CLEARLY evident that he did NOT have SEC or NFL talent to throw the ball to period. Where Peyton had Price to chuck a "go" route to in the face of a blitz. Luck's #1 target is Fleener? A prototypical TE who Bama's entire OL could out run in a footrace. You gotta be kidding me. If Luck had USC's WRs he could've put up Case Keenum type #'s.

They've got 19 players in the NFL. Alabama only has 25.

Stanford MIGHT get 6 players drafted when Bama has 5 possibles IN THE FIRST ROUND! Yeah that's a REALLY good comparo!

I doubt Fleener gets picked in the first round but he's rated as the #1 TE in this class. Also Stanford might have 2 OL drafted in the first round. <div>
</div><div>Luck may not have had great receivers to throw at but he had a good TE and line to protect him.</div>

6 players drafted off of one team is pretty damn good. The point isn't that Stanford is equal to Bama. Of course they're not. But they would have been comptetive in the SEC this year. Stanford has got talent. That can't be questioned.
