I heard that the coach they just announced is leaving. If true, I wonder if they will post the job.

What's the story? Did Coach Briggs desire to step down but since it didn't work out with Coach Newsome, he decided to stay another year?

Wow, is that official? I've heard nothing but crickets. I can't believe they didn't post the job either way - makes absolutely no sense. You never know who might apply, they had a few teaching jobs open and now they've been filled.
This sounds a little like Jamestown a few years ago. All signed sealed and deliver, and then "boom", we need a coach. I think that happened in like July?
The Lafayette coach stepped down to become the AD and then had a change of heart, (a year or two ago). But that's different.
I remember when Jimmye Laycock from W & M accepted a head coaching job at another college and realized he had made a mistake. That was great for The Tribe, but tough on whatever college had hired him.
Stuff happens, I guess.

Since my parents moved out of KW, I have only been to WP just a hand full of times. Miss visiting...
I still enjoy going back to visit family. Really a wonderful place to raise a family. Small town, but close enough to Richmond & Williamsburg that you’re never truly isolated.
