That's where we're staying. Tell me about these shuttles to the game. Is that a service provided by your hotel or is it some sort of public transit?

couldn't guarantee it but said it'd been done every year. They just haven't made official plans yet.<div>
</div><div>The best deal is at the Comfort Inn. On the beach, balconies in every room, huge heated pool, hot tub, and a straight shot mile up the beach ($5 cab) from all the bars. It's like $90 per night and is a nice place according to people I've talked to that stayed there for a bachelor party.</div><div>http://www.comfortinn.com...ida-FL297?promo=gcifl297</div><div>
</div><div>If you're looking for something within walking distance to the beach bars, The Best Western and The Quality Suites are right there, but require a down payment (although you can cancel for money back) and are a little pricier.</div><div>http://www.qualitysuitesjacksonvillebeach.com/</div><div>
</div><div>I'm sure the nightlife in downtown will be good for New Year's Eve with all the fans there. But everyone I've talked to familiar with Jacksonville says downtown bars are spread out and the nightlife is much better at J'ville Beach. The hotels have told me plenty of fans in town for the Gator Bowl stay there each year.</div>

if I get enough on board for the Quality Suites, I'm booking a room there. It requires pre-payment but you can cancel/adjust rooms before Christmas and get your money back. All rooms include two queen beds or one king, a pull-out couch, full living room, and a balcony overlooking the ocean.<div>
</div><div>It's within a block or two of about ten bars. I don't see how you can beat this place. Only downside is the deposit, even though it's refundable before Christmas.</div>

Never been to Jacksonville and know nothing about the town. All I know is I have an ocean view suite at the Lodge. Tried booking a room downtown and they were all full.
