The Brooklyn Dodgers never were my favorite team, but since 1958, wanted the LA Dodgers to lose every game they played.
The NY Giants were my favorite team, after they became the SF Giants they could go to hell and I wouldn't have cared. Still feel the same way.
Wished the damm Yankees would have went west, couldn't stand them, but liked some of their players. The one who did the Yoo Hoo commercials I particularly liked [winking]

Are the Dodgers a young team? I feel like every other guy looks like he's 12 years old

Eithier and Gonzalez are both 33.

Yasiel Puig is from Cuba, so he's probably 47.

Pederson is young.

Crawford is one of the worst every day players in baseball and is ready for the glue factory.

Mark Ellis (their one catcher) is 38...

Jimmy Rollins and Utley are ancient.

Turner is like 30/31...

Maybe it's the organic food and lots of yoga in SoCal

But I can't be the only person to think this. Even my wife mentioned how young they looked. Granted they may have just shown the same 4 guys over and over....

Kershaw and Greinke look young in the face. Andre Ethier kind of has a baby face as well. But theyre all around 30, the whole lot of them. Keke hernandez and Joc Pedersoen are really the only young guys on that whole team. The rest are vets.

Seager is a 21 year old rookie.

Grandad was the starting catcher last night. He is about to turn 27.

Joc Pederson is 23. Hey, he has the same birthday as me (April 21). Only I was a senior at Rutgers when he was born...

Anybody else wonder why the Dodger right fielder didn't let the fly drop foul after the Murphy steal? Wonder if he realised he could?
Rule of thumb is take the out Skillet
That's the tying run, not the winning run.

This was brought up on MLB after the game. One of the commenters added that it was close to the line and not obviously foul, and what if Ethier let it drop fair? If the game was in Oakland and clearly foul, you could consider it.

Great game last night, that was actually the first baseball game I have watched every pitch in about 10 years. The Cubs/Mets series should be a good one. The Cubs still owe the Mets some revenge for 1969.

Anyone have thoughts on who pitches game 2 for the Mets? Whoever starts game 2 will probably get 2 starts, if needed (and the one who doesn't probably only gets 1 start). Based on that, I would think Sydergaard would be the clear choice, but I have no idea what impact all the warming up and the one inning has on that. Maybe part of the reason he didn't go in for the 8th was to have him available on Sunday?

Me! I've been a fan since 1969 when Sister Vianney didn't give us homework because the Mets won the World Series.
I've always been a Mets fan as a kid I went to St Josephs Elementary School in Bound Brook we had Sister Emerick she was the best in 64 Cardinals vs Yankees she told us to put away our transistor radios and the head phone I'm a Cardinals fan we are going to watch the game until the bell rings.

We know Harvey gets the start tomorrow night. Then my guess is Thor on Sunday, deGrom on Tuesday for Game 3 and Matz on Wednesday for Game 4. Harvey, deGrom and Thor may all get two starts, but I'd prefer to win in 4 obviously!

A lot of people forget that the Cubs got their revenge against the Mets in 1984.

This is round 3 ... tied at 1-1.

Thanks, Zap. Good point about winning versus tying. It'd be fun to look at the numbers and do an analysis of various probabilities on that. (Well, it'd be fun for me.)
