I think Graham has a sneaky tough road, prob the hardest road of any 2A team left. A Union team that almost won at Graham earlier in year (although Graham has only improved since then and Bears been up and down), a Wise-Central team that is absolutely clicking right now if they win v. Ridgeview (I think they will despite first meeting L), then the 2C winner.
Graham could absolutely be there in Salem but don't be shocked if they get tripped up. That's a very very tough road to hoe.
I agree on Graham's road to the finals. Very tough. I think King William's road is up there close to Graham. King William is hosting a very dangerous team next weekend in Poquoson. Poquoson plays arguably the toughest schedule in the 2A class year in and year out, and if you look at Poquoson's losses outside of Lafayette, they involved major self destruction and penalties and turnovers. They are much better than their record. I think King William is well aware of that and will be prepared. After Poquoson for KW, is Nottoway. Nottoway may be on the same level as KW, Graham, and Appomattox and Draft, but the Cougars have kind of flown over under the radar all year long. They have major talent on that team. Great speed, size, and athleticism. Their schedule isn't the strongest, but they have absolutely taken opponents apart. Then for KW, if both get that far, Draft, the heavy favorite in Region B is still the team to beat in the East until someone steps up. Overall, I think Graham's road is very difficult, but King William's is also very tough.
The above is only assumptions about IF teams like Nottoway, Graham, KW, Draft, Appo keep winning. I don't mean to be disrespectful to any other team not mentioned because anything can happen and on the right day, any of the above teams mentioned could lose next weekend.
As for the state title game and picks. I'm going to go with a a three-peat. I think it's Stuarts Draft by the skin of their teeth over King William and Appo by the skin of their teeth over Graham. I think it's round three for Draft and Appo. If King William or Nottoway or Graham were there, no surprise to me. Outside of the above teams mentioned, if there were a team to make the state finals other than Draft, Appo, Graham, or KW, I think it would be Union or Poquoson.
