Tornadoes were rolling through the Delta during our game and we still put 7-8K in there. I thought Swayze field was the best place in the country to watch college baseball.

I can guarantee we would have had at least 1 more if not for the weather last Thursday.

Seriously though, there's nobody there. What the 17?

I bet the announced attendance will be about 10K (or 10M) though

Really looks sad. And I'm glad Ben McDonald corrected his old teammate Bianco..

on who actually started the rise of SEC Baseball.

For some dumbass reason we scheduled double decker during a home baseball series. Not that it's a good excuse, but a lot of people are listening to what is one of Blue Mountain's final concerts. I find it pretty stupid to have a big event the same weekend as a home baseball series. And at the exact same time.

My dumbass thought it was Friday

I guess I do have to work tomorrow. I've been sick all week so I'm a little brain dead.

But Blue Mountain is playing a free show tomorrow I guess.

Theyve won 6 straight SEC games but Blue mountain is playing in 2 days and they have double decker coming up tomorrow. I mean, why would the biggest weekend of the year in oxford....have a large baseball attendance?

It is blue mountain. You have to rest up on that. Watching them was like wAtching my first wes anderson movie. I looked around thinking to myself...."am i the ONLY one missing something"? Kind of like going to taylor grocery. If you think that is good catfish, you arent from mississippi. Which if you go to ole miss, you arent. Youre from dallas or atlanta, so yes, taylor is decent slopfish for yall.

like sushi. I mean, yes, it is good...but jesus folks....it is steamed rice and raw fish. It isnt ******* Per Se

Isn't Double Decker usually the last weekend in April?

A few years ago UM had some HUGE crowds for the LSU series...the same weekend as the Double Decker.

You can't blame Cary Hudson for low baseball attendance.

I may be wrong about this, but doesn't om count season tickets as attendance for every game, whether they are present or not? Seems like I heard that one. The story was that state only counts tickets at the gate for attendance, but om counts season tickets plus the tickets at the gate. Can anyone explain this further? Might explain the inflated attendance numbers.

Pretty much every team in every sport reports tickets sold

amateur and pro. Some also announce "actual attendance" though.

It's been a long time since MSU counted actual attendance. OP4 is right, everyone reports paid attendance. MSU was much later to go to that standard than most, but we've been reporting paid attendance just like everyone else for at least a decade.

When everyone else when to paid attendance....

it pretty much forced our hand. The comparisons weren't apples to apples and it wasn't favorable to us.
