U could see first 5 min they pounded inside and scored at will. Just try and see if st johns forces some 3s. But man wasnt working and he refused to switch it up.

We've been a top 15 defense nationally all year, basically. Stay with what works. They handled it. Credit to them. And Zuby has become such an effective passer that between him and their other front line players, I think a zone would have done nothing except get a few of their outside shooters going besides Sanon.

Zuby won that game for them. Credit to him. They came out with an intensity that we couldn't match. Good point above though about switching to zone. That may have helped.

Zuby’s improvement in his all around game from when he was a sophomore is pretty crazy.

St Johns is clearly better than us. A zone would not have mattered, Stop taking shots at Sha.

Not going to be a popular post, but need to give Pitino some credit. Yea he has the horses but getting them to play as a team is not always as easy as it looks. His team was ready and prepared for us. Picked us apart under the basket with great team basketball. He is a big supporter of our coach and program but owned us this year. His comment about our team always looking like we haven’t eaten in a week says it all. Up 6 late he was very uncomfortable on that sideline. Couple of calls late going the other way could have easily changed the outcome.

Masterful use of time outs to compose his team. We were that one AjSM 3 going in away from the lid coming off MSG.

Or the Jacob Dar 3 from the corner that bounced around and out. After watching him in the tournament I regret he did not play more this year. Him and Trey Parker brought tremendous energy to the floor. Hope we keep Parker, big upside in my opinion.
