Why didnt the North Stanly Comets make it to the playoffs. Beat Mt Pleasant and had a good game with JM Robinson and 2nd in the Conference but didnt make it. I think somebody made a mistake because a few teams made it who had worse records?

32 which sucked because they had close games with good teams and not putting West Stanly down but they came in at #28 with Wins over 3 bad teams and big losses in the other games. I know would not have won it all but they should have been in it.
Couldn’t agree more! That’s a tough pill to swallow in my opinion….imagine …Bunker Hill out…West Lincoln in…or West Lincoln out…Lincolnton in.

They are out because the split conference rules allowed for a worse Owen/Madison team who can't compete in a 1A conference into the playoffs. Those teams wouldn't make the 1A playoffs.

Yeah that was a bad loss for sure..I figured beating Mount Pleasant made up for it but I guess I was wrong..lol
Yeah but Owen and Madison are in a conference and should be represented. And there are plenty of 1A teams they would beat I promise you. But again, beat Randleman at home and they are in. And Randleman entered 0-3. And it didn’t help that three of their wins were over three of the worst 1A teams in the state in Union, South Stanly, and Albemarle. Certainly not their fault but pretty unlucky
Agreed it needs to be tweaked. Maybe less weight on the opponents opponents records
If you beat a team head to head that is in your conference like North beating Mt Pleasant that should over ride any RPI especially if the team you beat makes the playoffs and you don’t.
North's wins were over winless Union Academy, 1-win East Rowan, 2-win South Stanly and 2-win Albemarle. North had only one win over a solid team (Mt. Pleasant). The early season matchup with West Stanly was canceled because of Covid. If that one had been played and North had won, I think you would have a fair argument. But your schedule (even though most of it was in-conference and couldn't be helped) hurt you for sure, and the RPI's are what they are.
Is North Moore 1A or 2A...No matter what finishing second in the conference they should be in the playoffs.. NCHSAA drop the ball once again. LIKE EVERYONE in their conference made it to playoffs except them..CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAZY!!!!
