Why do some MSU fans want Lebby gone?

Tim, I heard that your name is in the bunch for Florida's next coach. Have you had any coaching experience at all, other than possibly tee ball?

It’s because people aren’t willing to let things play out. They think they can completely predict the future of a coach. It’s really a shame too because they would make remarkable ADs, since EVERY SEC team has fired a football Head Coach in the last 20 years. Most of them multiple times.

The best part is, if Lebby goes 0-8 they will feel like he should have been fired after week 7 because they are of such astute, Rain Man quality, football knowledge, they knew it was coming.

Most of us are sitting here saying, if he goes 0-8 it’s a serious discussion. If he goes 6-6 or better STFU until next year cuntshits. If he goes 5-7 it will be a very argumentative off season. But at least we have baseball and we don’t have an angry homewrecker as a coach.

Not attempting to talk down at all. I just take an interest in good offensive minds / HCs given how inept my now former coach was when it came to that side of the ball, and Lebby was on the coaches I have been keeping track of. Saw some smoke on Twitter about people wanting Lebby gone and thought this would be the place to go to see what I was missing. MSU beat a ranked ASU team that was in the playoff last year. The conference record is just smoke to me, I get it's important and SEC fanbases have high expectations, but this conference is really hard to win in, especially when you have a roster imbalance in key positions
Just curious......were your eyes open Saturday during the game? That should tell you all you need to know about Jethro Libby

I don’t want him gone (yet) but he did lose me for this season Saturday. The offense completely disappears every game for long stretches and I put that on play calling/scheme.

I also still have no confidence he will make the right decision in the crucial moment when the game is on the line after what I’ve seen so far from him in close games. He’s obviously still learning on the job but he’s got to own that.

That being said, if he goes 0-8 or even 1-7/2-6 this year after 0-8 last year, his seat should be on absolute fire to start the SEC schedule next season.

Stretching things - but I suppose we could still be 9-3 regular season, 10-3 with a bowl. Highly unlikely, maybe 1%, but perhaps a miracle will happen. Problem is, we have 5 games left and 4 of those are top 25 teams, 3 top 15. All are conference teams.

We could, perhaps should, be 5-2 right now, with wins in the Tennessee & Florida games, and without the unlikely finish with Arizona State. Even in that game, we played 21 minutes really well. That scenario isn't totally unbelievable.

I stand by my previous statement. Roll with Lebby & Co. for 5 years and then we should know. I'm not gonna let a few boneheaded calls get my panties in a wad over a first time HC who is actually scoring some decent points against decent teams.

I don’t completely disagree at this point, since we’re knee deep in and honestly, all I care about is baseball. Now that I’ve removed myself from football emotion, let’s see where this takes us. We got some boosters who believe so let them roll. It’s not like there’s some blueprint for today’s game anyway.

I don’t want to pay a buyout either. Just where I am currently. We definitely blowing games and Libby looks Croomtastic though.
