Why do we sound like UM did after Texas steamrolled them?

After the Texas won by 5 TD's and took a knee on the 6th, Mississippi saying Texas was one of the best teams in the nation. Then Texas got destroyed by Oklahoma by an even wider margin.

I'm not saying Bama will get embarrassed like that this year (they won't), but if LSU, Fla/GA, aTm, ND/KState/whoever gives Bama a game and or wins, then what will we say? The team that beats them is worthy of a Super Bowl wildcard playoff spot? I guess I am alone in thinking you can't hand Bama the championship trophy just yet and everyone is really over emphasizing how good they are.

Uh, maybe because Alabama actually IS the best team in the country.

And it is not even close or debatable at this point. I don't see them having a close game this year much less a loss. Texas on the other hand was vastly overrated and I would love to play against that Manny Diaz defense in a bowl game.

I think they are that good.

The odds that Bama drops out of the Top 25 after our proclamation of them being the best team in the country are like a billion to 1. So, comparing them to the OM/UT comparisons is pretty far out there.

Isn't Bama a 10 pt favorite in BR this weekend? At night? I guess the betting public could be overestimating them as well, but they've done fairly well ATS this year against legit teams where the spread isn't some very high number against a directional school.

I can see LSU playing them close in death valley. There defense is better than ours and the game is at night. If anyone has a chance i would say LSU

They are going to have some real problems scoring.

You make a good point...

...OM wasn't ready to play Texas & they got embarrassed; MSU wasn't ready to play Bama & got embarrassed. But nobody would ever admit their team was just plain unprepared. No, it's the overwhelming awesomeness of the opponent. I don't care how good Bama "really is" or how good Texas "really is." Just don't enter a critical game looking like Ned & the primer then after you get your *** kicked, start up a worship service directed at the opponent that just kicked your ***.

I think you're right....

Miles hasn't been able to and won't beat Saban without luck, big plays and/or turnovers...

One difference - they found positives in their beat down. We're all embarrassed of ours.

Nailed it.

ole miss was happy after getting 70 hung on them by a decent Texas team. We're embarrassed and/or pissed off after giving up 38 to the best team in the country by a mile and a half.

I can't see LSU staying within 2 TDs of Bama. How's LSU going to move the ball or score against Bama's defense? LSU will be lucky to get more than 10 points.

Alabama's offense seems alot better and LSUs seems a lot worse.

LSU should find a WR and put him at QB and just run the wishbone. They'd be better off.

As terrible as I think Jordan Jeferson was, he could make a few yrds scrambling. That's not happening this year, and LSU's offense is not that immaginative. Plus they fall back to the run in tough spots, which wil work agaisnt us, but not agaisnt Bama.

I was actually thinking the same with all the dick sucking of Bama this week. They are definitely good, but there are lots of eerie similarities between our fans and Bama and OM fans earlier this year and Texas. We all laugh and ***** about the exact same things about the other guys. So weird and ironic.

Like that post on here earlier -- "when did nafoom turn into a MSU board?" Uhhh, you realize you're making a post about OM on an MSU board and doing the exact same thing, right?

If one takes a step back and looks at it, with his maroon-tinted glasses off, it's really kinda ridiculous.

your right they do need a qb but i think the fact that it is a night game at lsu and lsu has a good defense that the game will be close

You really should take an extra 30 seconds or so to insert punctuation and correct grammar before pressing the submit button.

We don't. They were beaten soundly by a Texas team that is now clinging to the Top 25 by dear life. They said it was good for recruiting, good for exposure, good for this, and good for that. And by the way, did you see Matthew McConaughey?!?!?

MSU loses by less of margin to the clear #1 team and we are trying to figure out WTF happened to let the game get so far out of hand. I have yet to see any positives.

Actually, you can put the LSU win in Tuscaloosa all on Saban's shoulders. He made some really questionable coaching decisions in that game. Trying multiple 60-yard FGs with a kicker who had proven that all he could do was kick the ball that far and hope it somehow made it's way through the uprights and trying a trick play when he had finally worn down the LSU defensive line and was getting 5+ yards on every rush. He gave LSU too much credit in that game and kind of panicked a little (Mullen did that a little against Bama last weekend too).

the difference being who is in power at the moment ... we have been in power (in the state of MS. ) for the last 4 years .... therefore we are entitled
