Why does anyone swing when facing Reed? It isn't necessary. Blows

You bitching about the other team not hitting.

I guess this proves once and for all that people on here like to *****.

Oh- and by the way- hitting ain't easy. You succeed 30% of the time at it and you are good. Some of those pitches look like strikes, and then it drops out of the zone. It's hard for a lot of hitters to lay off. If you go with your approach, Reed will sneak his 86 MPH gas right by you.

be a good hitter.

I understand it is hard to lay off the slider. I also understand Reed struggles to throw it for a strike. I also understand that the scouting report says Reed struggles to throw his slider for a strike. I don't think I've ever seen him throw a drop down slider for a strike this year. Teams have picked up on it but not as much as I would expect.

I'm not bitching that he had a decent outing today.

and I'm sure some of those hits came during his start, which is actually to me the most baffling thing I've seen from Cohen this year.

But you have to understand the danger of just standing there and taking pitches is if our coaches figure that out- they'll tell Reed to throw it right down the middle of the plate. And it won't take long because Cohen will go out to the mound after a batter or two and tell Reed- just throw it down the middle and make them put it in play. Of course, no one outside of Little League does that. You always have to be ready to hit. That is how hitters are coached at every level.

Usually, if a pitcher is wild, the coach will say take a strike or two and see if you can get ahead in the count. And you have to also remember that believe it or not- sometimes the other teams screw up from time to time.
