Why has SEC basketball fallen to it`s current level ?

2 tournament teams from the SEC is pitiful. Is Kentucky the key ? Do they need to be good for the conference to get more recognition ?

...just two more teams could've raise their level of play and get their RPI north of 30, you'd be looking at a normal year in the SEC because all these bubble teams would have a better RPI from playing the top four. Florida and Kentucky, I'm looking at you, mostly. It is what it is.
