Why hasn't a bigger deal been made of this?

anything that he's done.

If there's proof that those players got benefits for signing those autographs, then yeah... there's some trouble. But as of now, all it is, is a bunch of Auburn fans throwing stones.

And UAT just publicly distanced themselves from the guy too...

The problem isn't the players benefiting.

They signed these jerseys and had knowledge that he was using their names for promotion of his business.

From the NCAA Bylaws

12.5 PROMOTIONAL ACTIVITIES

12.5.2 Nonpermissible.
12.5.2.1 Advertisements and Promotions After Becoming a Student-Athlete.
After
becoming a student-athlete, an individual shall not be eligible for
participation in intercollegiate athletics if the individual
:
(a) Accepts any remuneration for or permits the use of his or her
name or picture to advertise, recommend or promote directly the sale or
use of a commercial product or service of any kind; or

(b) Receives remuneration for endorsing a commercial product or service through the individual’s use of such
product or service.

With that said, nothing will happen to Bama.

The dude sells designer suits. He has THE signed jerseys for the 2010 championship game from AL's 3 best players. Saying that the players didn't get suits out of the deal is the same as saying Cam didn't know what Cecil was doing.

He said as of now there wasn't proof. Just like Cam Newton. Of course everyone thinks he took money, but until it is proven you can't really do anything

the most naive son of a ***** on the planet or you just want to stir the pot. I agree there should be some proof before sanctions are handed down but anyone, including you, that thinks a bunch of young, black 20 year old atheletes just fell in love with the same middle-aged white guy for no good reason is a dubmass.

Give me one good reason these 3 guys would give this guy their actual championship jerseys and countless other players would give him signed memorabilia as well if they weren't getting something back?

I know you you enjoy playing the contrarian but no reasonable person could can look at the facts from that article and not know. I guess the NCAA doesn't have to employ reason, they obviously haven't yet with Cam.

Frankly this kind of stuff goes on all the time and I think it would be ridiculous to put a team on probation over some sketchy clothing store displays. But we all know damn well that if this were State or Ole Miss the NCAA would be all over it. Selective enforcement period.

even if the NCAA were to investigate deeper, the chances of them finding anything substantial will be slim. If they can't find any evidence that they received any compensation, the next thing would be if they gave the dude their consent to display their signedmemorabiliawith the sole intent of promoting his store even if they didn't receive anything in return. Unless I read incorrectly, the only one that could end up hurting them is McElroy since he spoke on his behalf in a commercial right?<div>
</div><div>All the others have to do is say something like they really like going to his store and they eventually developed some kind of relationship with him and didn't mind giving him their signatures, but they pull a Cam Newton by saying they had no idea he would use their signatures to promote his store. Hatfield never said that they were innocent, but with how we've grown to know the NCAA as of late... there's just not enough evidence unless someone opens their mouth when they shouldn't. It's just stupid either way you look at it, but there's just nothing that's going to happen out of this.</div>

that had a back wall full of signed Ohio State and UK stuff (you can guess which specific sports were represented by each school) for sale. But I don't think any of it was for current players (Brandon Knight went pro, right?) which makes it kosher. But still amusing.
