The sheep mentality is often just as bad on this board as it is on any other.

Here's the problem: 1) Your original question is based on a fallacy. I haven't seen a single person on this board say that Stans will be fired when this season is over. So, doing that makes you an easy target for criticism.

2) You lose all credibility by spewing ******** about how 99% of State fans are happy with the results of this season.

3) You then lose further credibility because you don't know what you're talking about. "If an opinion supports a coach or MSU admin, the issue is not discussed" There are plenty of Cohen worshippers on this board, and I think everyone is happy with Mullen so far. The idea that everyone on here just bashes every coach for the sake of bashing every coach is just wrong.
Maybe no one thinks he will be, but I know damn well plenty of you want him gone right now, which I still think is a terrible idea. However, everything you laid out here is accurate.

but you'll never convince me that Coach34 wants Stansbury to be our coach right now. He may think he should not be fired this year based on what is right, but still I bet he wants him gone. Coach34 clearly thinks Stansbury is a terrible coach... Coach34 clearly thinks Stansbury is on the decline and hurting our program. If I felt that way, I would definitely want him gone right now.

A. You can't fire #@+*@+%%$* for underachieving again at the end of this season.
B. No, I do not want him to be our coach
C. He is clearly declining and all the stats point to that- sorry if that hurts your feelings
D. We are a stale program that needs new life

some people are having a tough time realizing the good ol days of Lar are gone and progressive thinking is in control. And NIT's no longer cut it, especially when much more was expected against an extremely weak schedule

I remember those trips to the Club in Columbus. That drive back sucked *** if you ad to be the one driving.. The landing was nuts on a Thursday night, you could just hang n the parking lot and watch a few fights, grab a girl and head back to S-Vegas... I also remember ridingto Tuscaloosa just to get a box of Krispy Kremes, crazy.

One, if someone disagrees with a rampant thread about a coach or MSU admin, they are a "sheep".

If an opinion supports a coach or MSU admin, the issue is not discussed, the poster is simply labeled a "sheep".

In fact, now that I think about it, the only place you hear the term "sheep" is on this board.

I guess that make the frequent posters on Sixpack "Sixpack sheep".

How ironic.

Moral of the story, either agree with the blackhole opinions on Sixpack or accept the "sheep" label. Even if you never visit the "flock"

unless:

A. They offer him a ridiculous amount of money.

B. He and Byrne just don't get along for whatever reason, and he just leaves to be in a "better situation for himself".

Unless something is going on that I don't know about, I don't see it happening.

He has Dee, and a NBA type talent in Sidney coming back. He also has a bunch of seniors- Ravern, Kodi, Phil, Benock (Keep laughter to yourself you anon. MSU student posters) We are finally building his practice facility, and yes I know that Auburn has a new basketball stadium. And as we have all discussed ad nauseum, he is not going to be fired even after this "bad" season.

And on top of that, he has a chance to get the Mississippi Fab 5 or whatever people want to call them.

At Auburn, he would be taking over a team that would have to rebuild and has a ton of seniors this year. Plus, Auburn is at best a lateral move at best if not a step down from MSU in basketball.

I could see why Auburn would want him, I just don't think he would leave. As pissed off as everyone is, the guy is likely two wins from getting MSU to the big dance again, and with our shooting who knows what's going to happen in the SEC Tournament. IF that happens, it might buy him even more job security.

And if you're Auburn, why get into a bidding war with MSU and overpay for Rick Stansbury when you can easily get some mid-major coach from whatever team happens to make a run in the Big Dance this year? I just don't think they care about basketball that much.

now falling as a coach. Perhaps we\'ll get one decent year out of him but its doubtful. If he follows form, next season we'll be praying for an NIT bid

I know its difficult to face that someone like C34 might actually be right about something, but face he is on Stans
