Seems like every year they have a few stand out guys from Florida. Just curious what is so appealing to a Florida kid about Louisville?
They have been farming Florida recruits long before CH. Half the team was from FL in BP's 1st stint.Clint Hurtt

UK actually does recruit Florida. They don't waste time in ohio getting into pissing contests with Meyer n Harbaugh, or fighting the rest of the big 10 for their scraps, nor do they waste excessive amounts of time and resources trying to go toe to toe with Nick Saban for the occasional 5* in state kid. Instead they take their chances with 3 stars from UGA, FLA, Alabama.
BP knows how to go and sweep up kids who aren't getting a lot of love from the big southern schools.
God knows how much time, effort, and resources went into Elam and Harris. While CMS was battling it out with the God Father for those guys, ole sneaky P was snatching up speedsters down in SEC country.
I say it all the time. I'll take a 3 star from Florida, Texas, or UGA over a 4 star from ohio, kentucky, and most other places. Sneaky P figured that out a long time ago.

UL probably has at least 20 players from FL right now. UK has a handful.UK actually does recruit Florida.

......if that happens........ Make Gran the HC......
I cannot even read this post. UK fans for years claimed Ohio was furtile recruiting territory and that MSU was the example for UK. Now someone praises UL for going to another highly populated state to fight UF, Miami and FSU for recruits as criticism of UK's staff landing good recruits from Ohio? And is critical of the efforts applied to two kids in our own state that Bama wanted? How much effort went into Landon Young and Kash?
Wow.
......if that happens........ Make Gran the HC......

No offense as I still like coach stoops and hope he is here long turn. But making Gran the head coach is exactly what people complained about with hiring of stoops. He is a career assistant, never been the head man. Only difference is he has about 15 yes on Stoops. Marks resume was better as a head coach when hired than gran has now. I like both of them, but if Stoops doesn't succeed after next year, you have to go outside of the program. Don't need a Joker 2.0
FalseThe broader, more significant question for me is how is that UK's recruiting classes generally rank about Louisville's, we have much better facility's, UK is the state's flagship university; we have broader statewide fan support than Louisville, yet, for most of the last 15 years, Louisville has generally been the better program? I know we play in the SEC and Louisville doesn't. However, we are nowhere close to being competitive with Louisville right now nor have we have been for the last 5 years despite getting equal to or better talent than Louisville.
