comprehending some people voting Stanford 3rd instead of Ok State?

Stanford lost to top 10 Oregon. Ok State lost on the road to non-ranked Iowa State.

It's really, really easy to reason that Stanford should be ranked 3rd.... why is this so hard for him and the media?

oklahoma st beat a whole lot more ranked teams and bowl bound teams than stanford did.

oklahoma st had a bad game. stanford was clearly outmatched by oregon.

Having a bad game and losing to a team you have no business losing to as Okie State did.

OR

Being outmatched and losing a game to the team that won your conference championship as Stanford did.

I really don't get why everyone is so pissed about Okie St being ranked 3rd. They lost to a 6-6 Iowa State team. 2 WEEKS AGO. What is the big mystery here?
