Could be the fact OM is recruiting 4 other guys at his spot when they told him he's the man...OR

The fact that his "future" position coach, Wingnut KIFFEN, doesn't even go to try to salvage Elijah but OM decides to send some other guy. KIFFEN is his lead guy and position coach but isn't even making the trip to try to reel Daniels back in. I guess what Daniels is feeling, that he is 5th priority, may very well be the truth. His own position coach not making the trip tells you where Daniels sits in the OM pecking order. Hell Elijah come on down, I bet we would find a great spot for you and you would be very welcome here as a Dawg. #Hailstate!!!!

Thanks Kiff!

Good questions**

Brewster and Turner definitely have an in-home with him this week. We'll see how it goes...

He's easily worth a semester in Hargrave... Or even as a sign and place in JUCO... No one will say otherwise. He is a significant grade risk -- but is still a risk worth taking...

Kiffin....

Maybe Kiffin is too interested in the Dallas Cowboys to be interested in Elijah Daniel.

Maybe Ole Miss doesn't want to send their DL coach (Kiffin) to see Daniel face to face because Kiffin can't explain why Daniel isn't near the too of their DL board. So Ole Miss sends a different coach to sell the hype, to sell winning the press conference on national signing day.

Daniel needs to come to MSU to play for a proven DL coach. Elijah Daniel and Chris Jones would terrorize SEC quarterbacks. They could pin their ears back and get after it. We've got the LBs and the DBs to make those schemes work too.

Elijah Daniel, Quay Evans, Nick James, and Chris Jones are gonna dominate together. All 4 of them would make the League too.

Just me

But I like our chances with Brewster on him. Serious question: was Brewster trolling on twitter a few weeks ago or did he know something?

Someone else in the topic mentioned Dallas.

But I suppose that's a fair point. It is very interesting that Dallas is the only NFL job he has denied interest in. Coincidence?!?!?

He was never going to coach DL for Dallas. Kiffin's DL coach experience is 1 year at Ole Miss and 1 year at Ark State. That guy is not going to coach DL at Dallas.

A Kiffin is going to be some kind of quality control guy, whatever that is. He was a quality control intern at Tampa Bay and he was a quality control assistant at Nebraska. Oh and he was an administrative assistant at USC.

Our DL Coach Turner has coached a 1st round pick and a DE that is playing in the superbowl. Turner has coached 5 MSU DL to the NFL and one Vandy DL to the NFL.

Well his dad works there. His dad is responsible for his brief gig in the NFL as a quality control assistant.

Kiffin could be waiting till after Signing Day to bolt to the Cowboys

A gig which left to be DL coach at Arkansas State. Do you really think he would leave a better position than the one he originally left to go back to that?

Same question that I raised at the time. Brew has half a decade in the NFL -- with many contacts still there. There's a possibility that he would know from the other side, even if it's been totally silent on the OM front...

Not saying one way or the other -- but that tweet seems pretty far out of character for him if it was a dog-faced lie...

Word is Daniels is puzzled why Ole Miss is still recruiting Carl Lawson while he is aware and ok that they are recruiting C.J.
The Auburn Coaches are telling him OM is recruiting Lawson because they are trying to get Daniels to turn on OM and come visit this weekend.
Meanwhile the OM coaches are maintaining they are not recruiting Lawson anymore. Auburn has done a good job stirring things up to get this visit.
