I know this is a stretch, but why not Jimmy Tillette? He's a brilliant man, good x's and o's, runs thePrinceton offense, runs a very good defense, and he reached many milestones at Samford in his 15 seasons there.So why not give him a call? After Samford let him go he said that he might go finish his Ph.D in history.

and he got fired(at random basically)right after a rebuilding season you don't want him as a coach? He took Samford to a higher level in basketball than what they were at previously, whats to say he couldn't do that at State? Again, this will probably not happen, its just a thought.
