You would think he would love to be back in the BIG. He would definitely be motivated to show Nebraska they were wrong.

You mean that F#*S&@ Pellini? He was already discussed and I think the board consensus was that we don't want a guy that pees himself in excitement while loudly cursing out everybody in the stadium. And even if we did, the local media would crucify him and crucify RU for hiring someone like him after Mike Rice.

Agree that after Rice, RU can't afford the risk to hire a coach with Pellini's temperament, but he's a better head coach and has accomplished more than Al Golden.

Because the best thing to introduce into a program that has had coaches and athletic directors with anger management issues is another coach with an anger management issue.

I'm not saying Bo Pelini would be worse than Al Golden. It would just be a different kind of awful, the awful that comes from having a coach whose antics you wouldn't be able to stomach. (as opposed to a coach that turns your program into an Charlie Weis at Kansas-esque dumpster fire)

Hell, why don't we just hire Charlie Weis and get the best of both worlds. He does have "Jersey connections", after all.

And he is still 100 times the coach Al "Orange is the new Black, tie" Golden.

Because he is cray cray. When you have people from Nebraska keep coming on here after one of their worst season in decades to tell us that they still wouldn't switch back to him then you should probably listen to what they are saying.

Don't know if he is a good fit as a coach or not. But quite frankly I could care less about any cursing from a football coach. Just want to win and run a clean program. If he curses out players, media and fans along the way while winning.....all the better in entertainment value for me.

Love me some Bo.

Bo Pelini never failed to win at least nine games in a full season & record in bowl games is 4-3. Considering some of the people being considered, why would Rutgers of all not look at a proven head coach who has a career winning percentage of 71.3% (all in the B12 & B1G, mind you)?

Golden: 59-59 (MAC & ACC)

Schiano: 68-67 (Big East)

Those two couldn't shine Peilini's shoes.

Wouldn't care one bit that he is a hot head. I didn't care that Mike Rice was either though, just that he sucked.

We had hermann, rice(both), and 6 guys kicked off the team for home invasion and rioting. Maybe we should just begin to embrace the bad boy culture and become the raiders of the east or the bad boys of new Brunswick...

I'm kidding, mostly...

Because it's at least 50-50 that Bo Pelini does something outrageously stupid that makes Rutgers a laughingstock. If you're down with that as a possibility, then that's fine. Different strokes I guess.
