On Monday sent a package with MCB tickets Priority Mail thur the United States Postal service going to West memphis Ark. Cost with tracking was $5.65. I forgot to include the parking pass so on Tuesday I just sent the pass first class mailfor .44 cent stamp. Yesterday the .44 cent stamp arrived and the tracking of the priority mail still claims it is being sorted in Memphis. As of this morning it has went through sorting in memphis three times.
Called the post office this morning and they said they cannot do anything until 14 business days has past.
And they are cutting back service??

the tix office. They had no record of it. I had to settle for what was left, crap seats. In Oct the ticket office called and asked if I was ordering additional tix because they had just received my renewal form from June, 4 months later for what is a 2 hour trip by car.

Ordered something from Amazon, and it arrived in Huntsville on a Monday morning at 7:30 according to my tracking info. They delivered it Thursday. It sat in the distribution center for 3 days without being brought just a couple of miles.<div>
</div><div>One thing the USPS could do to generate more income is to charge all the junk mail senders regular postage. We'd get a lot less junk, and they'd make more money. They might even consider doing away with pre-sort discounts and many charitable qualifiers (I think they send first class for about 9 cents) with the exception of true doers like St. Jude.</div>

I had a putter shipped to me from NC. I'm in TN...the states actually touch. It was shipped priority and went from NC to the state of Washington, sat their for 3 days and then found its way to Memphis.

As for contacting USPS about your tickets, whoever told you 14 days was wrong. On the 5th shipping day you can open a case and you should do this. I ship just about everything USPSfor my business and once a case is opened your package is usually found quickly and to its destination.

our great and wonderful healthcare! Thank you, Mr. President!
If you think the govt can run anything efficiently and profitably, I bet you believe "separation of church and state" is in the Constitution.

there are horror stories from Fed Ex, UPS, and the USPS. Considering all the pieces of mail handled, the postal service is usually quite reliable. I do wish all the junk mail (something Fed Ex, UPS do not have to tolerate) would be stopped by the postal service. IF it is allowing junk to go at a cheaper rate then it should raise the rate and hopefully eliminate much of the junk. That would probably increase reliability of handling the "real" mail. They should stop delivery on Sat and save that money. They also need to break the postal union.....no telling how much money could be saved by doing that. Something I have a hard time understanding is when I mail something from my hometown to someone else also in my hometown the mail is sent to Jackson and then back to my hometown...do what? Seems it should not be difficult to sort mail and retain those type pieces so they could be timely delivered...sometimes if mailed early enough it could even be same day delivery. Too simple.

You like the Hospital administrators, the billing corporations and billing systems, the drug companies, the service corporations, our health position in the world and our effectiveness per dollar spent? Myself, I'm not a fan.

Is our system perfect? Nope. But it must be the most perfect in the world. People from all over come here to get their healthcare. There's more to the problems of our system than what you give credit. You failed to include ambulance chasers and frivolous lawsuits.
Also, everyone is taken care of in our current system, despite what the opponents like to claim. Look at the ERs. Look at the hospitals who provide charity care. There's clinics here in Nashville that are non-profits that take care of the less fortunate. There's Medicare/Medicaid. Here it is TennCare and it is abused beyond belief.
I believe in reform, but to go to a socialist system that is not as top-notch as ours and has NEVER worked as perfectly as claimed is plainly idiotic.

A few years I sent a FedEx envelope containing$40 in cashand a novelty mouse pad to my son in Memphis. It arrived ok to his locked mailbox at his apartment, but it had been opened and everything had been stolen. Go figure. I guess a sorter stole the stuff and just tossed the empty envelope back into the "to be delivered" stack. He/she probably figured a flat envelope contained cash or a check.

here we go! Lord I hope this doesn't instigate another 15 threads of Memphis residents who get butt hurt over someone knocking their town like Locke's comment about Jackson did.
