This question is frankly embarrassing. Lemonis should be looking for a new job a month ago.Next year what is the lowest number of SEC wins for Lemonis to save his job?
Will a 15-15 record do it?
He’s just helping us to not be so spoiled.he's successfully lowered the expectations of a lot on this board. so, probably so
You got that right. This has been a test of our fanbase to see if we would support the team through tough times. Next season he is going to let the Dawgs out. He’s just helping to not be so spoiled.
I think he has to make the field of 64 next year, and hosting the following year should be the floor.Yes. As long as he makes the NCAA Tournament next year, he’s safe. But his leash is still short in that case. He needs to host sometime in the next 3 seasons to get some credibility back. And until he does host, he can’t miss an NCAA tournament or he’s immediately done.
He has to make the ncaa tourney. Nothing else matters. Make the tourney and he’s safe.Next year what is the lowest number of SEC wins for Lemonis to save his job?
Will a 15-15 record do it?
This is correct. He has to make the ncaa tourney. Nothing else matters. Make the tourney and he’s safe.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind. We used to talk all the time about Lemonis pushing the right buttons, and even a blind man will get 50% right, but what has he gotten right in the last two years?I'm starting to think Lemonis fell asleep at the wheel so to speak. I'm sure it's a job that requires a lot of work, tough decision making and one only a few can get a handle on and succeed especially when you're having to adapt to changes constantly. We've dropped well below Polk II and there's really no excuse for that 2 years in a row. Not at STATE. The only way a STATE baseball HC 17's up to this degree is by riding The Good Ship Lollipop and not having enough schits to give. Time for him to go now.
Yep and we allowed it to happen by giving him another year after two 9 win SEC seasons following an NC. Now we have signed up for at least two years of substandard seasons as long as some improvement is shown next year.he's successfully lowered the expectations of a lot on this board. so, probably so
No, no way it’s enough. We have finished last and next to last the past 2 seasons. A 15-15 record this season would have put us in 5th out of 7th place records in West or 6th in East records. Last, next to last and 5th of 7 are unacceptable, especially after Missouri (of all schools) just fired their coach w/ a better conference and overall record. If he stays w/ a .500 conference record its like being happy w/ a participation trophy and snack after a little league season
This!!!I'm looking for more than just a record. I'm looking for other teams to dread having us on the schedule and for us not to care who it is because we believe in our program again. Win or lose, we finally think that we are in the game against anyone. We used to.
Wait a minute. Do you mean Cohen is responsible for spoiling us???15-15 in the SEC gets you a 2 seed in a Regional. People will still gripe, but yes it will save his job.
