Since we all have some time to evaluate and we are all anxious to get started, are there early non-conference games which could indicate who the real contenders will be? If these are the best in the 1-AA west (West Montgomery, East Wilkes, Mitchell, North Rowan, Mount Airy, Murphy, Swain, East Surry, or add your own selection) look at their schedules and offer your opinion! Do any of these teams play each other out of conference? Do any of them play major contenders in other classifications? Looking forward to your thoughts! Happy Easter!
Will early non-conference games be good indicators?

Very interested in seeing East Wilkes the first game. After EW, Starmount, North Surry, Surry Central, West Stokes and finishing up at Ragsdale it might be a good sign of what's coming up in conference play. However the strength of some of our opponents is questionable from year to year. We just have to learn from the early season mistakes and adjust. Our guys are putting in the work that will make the difference when the season starts. Can't wait till it gets here!!
