Can someone explain the rumors that he was going to transfer to me? I'm assuming Yancy spread the rumor but where did that come from? Just seems so random to me.

My two cents would be that Redmond does not want to leave MSU. I think it is
safe to say that Yancy and his bunch have been at this for quite some time and are
operating under the same mantra as Rob Emanuel who said "Never let a good Crisis
Go to Waste". The NCAA has not given us our letter ending the investigation so I think
it is safe to assume that Yancy can speculate or try to generate speculation that Redmond
might be ruled ineligible. I have nothing to base this on but it makes sense to me as I attempt
to dive into the mind of Yancy and you asked the question.

Yancy: Furthermore, how have you enjoyed sitting the bench for MSU this year?
Redmond: I really love the team, and Starkville, and I think that coach M--
Yancy: More importantly, what do you think about the outstanding job that Hugh Freeze has done recruiting at ole miss this year?
Redmond: Uhh, I dunno. I guess he's gotten some people pretty excited. I don't know much about him.
@YancyPorter: Just spoke with Will Redmond. Says he's excited about what ole miss has done this year and can't wait to see more.
