If someone made fun of your wife's medical condition on national television, and you looked over and saw the hurt in her eyes, how would you react?

I'm not saying assault is right. I'm not saying Will shouldn't face the legal repercussions of his actions. I'm just saying, I get it. In that moment, seeing his wife publicly humiliated for a medical condition, he saw red.
Why was he laughing at it then?

One day you may find a woman who wants to marry you. Or maybe you will have a daughter whom you love. If you ever have to see her deal with any sort of medical condition that impacts her appearance... and listen to her cry after she looks in the mirror.... maybe on that day you will understand why a man might lose control over some prick making jokes about your loved one's appearance.
That upsets him, but here sleeping around doesn't? Gimme a break

I didn't watch the Oscar's only saw about this through social media but correct me if I'm wrong but don't they know about the jokes beforehand? If that is the case shouldn't have someone mentioned the medical thing to Rock?

I would not be surprised if this was totally staged and would not be surprised if it is real. They got people taking about their disasterous drama queen award show with Jerry Springer/WWE antics.

How do you actually get "cred" when you SLAP another dude? 😆😅😆😅
Yep. Smith is probably 6-2 200 plus. Rock is likely 5-10 maybe and a buck 60. What a man you are Will smith. Plus it was a sucker punch. Punk move.

His wife has sex with other men and drug Will onto interviews to explain how he's letting her bang whoever she wants for the sake of the kids... I don't think she cares about him like people are thinking. Will should of slapped her with divorce papers.

Maybe you're unaware but his wife has done everything to publicly humiliate him. It's sad as hell to watch as she does not respect this man at all and has obviously twisted his mind beyond repair.

This is a woman who criticized her husband in bed and gaslighted him about her affair and called it "her journey." This woman does not deserve defending. His brain is just jacked up because of this woman.

Rock really wanted to go full blown comedian and thought better of it.

The only awkward thing I see is the screaming at him after as if Will is a bad ***. I mean sure I assume he’d beat Rocks *** in a fight but defending a family members honor isn’t always about win/lose.

After all the trolling etc in the last year it seems Will is wearing a lot of that on his sleeve and Rock made a bad joke at the wrong time. He knew it too or he wouldn’t have said “love ya” first.

Can’t say I blame Will right or wrong, it makes no difference what anyone else thinks except Jada. If that made her feel better somehow, good for Will.

Didn’t he laugh at first. I’ve only seen clips so I’m not sure. I would watch grass grow before an awards show. But Rock must be loving life. If your a comedian the ultimate must be to have a person react that way.

Will acted like a *****. He was laughing until that slut wife of his gave him the stinkeye.

He still hangs around while other musicians are making songs about throwing the pipe to his wife. He's a damned laughing stock.

Its called liberal privilege and liberals are literally spending this entire night trying to spin this. All 3 are black and all 3 are rich. All 3 are liberal and you aren't even allowed to assume one as a woman. All 3 are Hollywood.

Somehow this will be white people's fault by tomm night.
A dude slapped another dude over his wife getting her feeling hurt. Stop making everything political

I'd be more angry at other dudes piping my wife than a dumb joke.

Chris Rock needs to keep Jadas name out of his mouth, but no concerns about August Alsina's dick in Jada's mouth. 😂

He even wrote a song about it

Definitely crossed my mind here. Wonder if Will Smith was man enough to slap the dude banging his wife like that. Looks like a punk to me.

You can say that, but you never know what you’d put up with until the situation presents itself.

And he decided to stay, so in that decision he should stop standing up for her?

It’s fine you disagree, and maybe you wouldn’t handle the situation the same, but I bet you would fight for your wife if you felt it necessary.

So an awards show most no one cares about anymore has huge drama last night....

Now everyone is talking about it today. When was the last time the Oscars were talked about this much?

Nah, that wasn't staged

I’ve never met a man who was not filled with agony and regret for staying with a wife who slept with someone else. It’s never the same and regardless of the BS try to push, it’s a lie. They’re miserable. They never get over it.

The thing is, it wasn't necessary. It was a joke on an awards show with a history of hosts making fun of the celebrities in attendance. There was nothing necessary about it. Rock should have pressed charges against him for assault.

LOL … this is hilarious. Jada Pinkett is not suffering from any medical condition. You may have just set the all time Cats Pause record for softest post by a male. 😂

Wow, you’ve had a lot of intimate conversations with other men, eh? That’s really strange. Might be time for yet another username lol.

I don’t disagree, but I also don’t blame Will Smith for trying to be man enough to stand up to it.

Plus that wound is real fresh.

What bizarre world do you live in where guys do not talk in men’s groups/church, friends, message boards, etc? There’s an entire subreddit based on this topic and counseling considering the major trauma it does.

Stand up to it like a man though. Voice your disapproval in the moment (even though you got caught laughing) and confront him in private. Nothing Will Smith did was standing up for his woman (other than actually standing up).

He's lucky he's rich.

I agree with this. I always thought the only way I would blow up my family was if infidelity was involved. Then add to the fact it’s apparently well know she cheated on him. Unless he has don’t the same to her I don’t see how he could look at her the same.
